Hi everyone! My son is turning one in a month, and we are looking for a pediatrician that would be open to delaying some of his vaccinations. We'd also like someone who is open to alternative medicine and treatment. If you know of a doctor like this around us (we live in Oswego), we'd really appreciate his or her name. Thank you so much for your help!

My kids see the doctors at DuPage medical Group. For vaccines, we will only see Dr. Thomas Leib or Dr. Scott Murphy. Both go to the offices in Naperville and Wheaton. They are the easiest doctors to talk to about delaying or non-vaccinating.

I have a great pediatrician we are on a delayed vaccination schedule he never gave me any fuss at all, was totally okay with it. He's never given me a hard time when I request that we use alternative treatments and is always more then willing to work with me. We moved to him after our daughter was diagnosed with jaundice and the pediatrician we were seeing was demanding I switch to formula. We had seen our current doctor at the hospital and he was perfectly fine with our continuing to breastfeed and suggested we call a lactation specialist to make sure she was getting milk, never pressured me to formula feed. He is wonderful!!!!!

Dr. Moazam Saeed with Advanced Pediatric Care Ltd. They have an office in Lockport and Bolingbrook.

They are fantastic I have had him call me back at 2am before when I was worried about a teething fever and talk to me about what to expect. He never seems irritated and is always willing to explain things. He never rushes me during appointment and is willing to find out answers and call you later if he doesn't know an answer. I also love the nurses they know my daughter since we go in once a month for her vaccines. They let me nurse her during shots if that's what she wants, I can't say enough good things about them.

I love my Dr. He is out of Naperville right next to Edward Hospital in a medical building on Spalding (free vallet parking right out front). Anyway, he has been fantastic in respecting our wishes to delay vaccines until my son goes to school or whenever we decide. He was fantastic when I gave birth as I had no shots given then either. His practice is called the Dupage Medical group and he is Dr. Michael Fitzgerald. He is so nice and really talks to you. He is not quick to give antibiotics either actually my son is 2 and he has never prescribed anything. The number is ###-###-####.

Hi C.. Due to my DD's extreme prematurity, I wanted to really spread out her vaccines (she is still quite small for her age). I just think they do so many at once, and my pediatrician had NO PROBLEM understanding this. His name is Dr. Jeffrey Sroka and he is with Dreyer Medical Clinic in batavia off Fabyan Pkwy. He is really attentive and NEVER rushes and appointment.
Good luck!
