I plan on sending my 4 year old daughter to preschool in the fall, but since we are new to the area, I have no idea what preschools are good around here. A simple search on the internet doesn't really give me the perspective I'm looking for. Any referrals??? Thank you!

What can I do next?

I've lived in Plainfield, the south end, for 5 years now and sent both my children to the Minooka United Methodist Preschool. It's only 15 minutes away, so not too bad of a drive. Their 4 year old program is only $140/month for 3 days a week, with both morning and afternoon options. They also offer a 3 year old program 2 days a week - jI forget the cost. You can find their number in the phone book. Hope this helps!

Hi A.,
My daughter goes to Bonnie Mcbeth learning center off of Renwick on Howard. It is in the Plainfield School district 202 so the school calander reflects the other schools in the district. My 3 year old loves it (me too!) the teachers and aids are fantastic. They are very organized with drop off & pick up of the kids. I can not say enough good thing about the school, my daughter has a speech delay so the speach therapist comes to the class twice a week and takes her to her therapy, watching her progress is great. They also have family programs that you can attend with your child, we went to the one around Christmas and had a blast. They have a website, search bonnie mcbeth learning center and you should be able to find more info. Feel free to send me a message if you want more infor. Take care, and welcome to Plainfield - M.

Most preschools already have had registration for next fall and there are usually waiting lists...get on waiting lists ASAP for any school you might be interested in and if you are lucky, you will get in one or two and then you can decide.

My daughter goes to Apple Tree on Fraiser and we LOVE it. They have a lottery every year, since it is so popular. However, they said due to the economy they actually have space available in the 4 yr old class for the fall. I would check it out soon, before it fills!!

Bonnie McBeth, the district preschool, is very popular. I sent my son to Peaceful Hearts and loved it. Many of my friends children have attended Plainfield Jr. Village. Call soon because they are probably all full or close to full already for next fall. Open enrollment is usually in January. One thing you will soon learn about Plainfield is that any organization for kids fills up FAST.

i just recently checked out the new TLC on Gaylord. I was very impressed with it and will be sending my daughter there for before & after school care as that she is starting at Grand Prairie in the fall. Their rates are competitive with what i am paying for Mary Sears. I hope this helps!!
