Our daughter attends Garden Gate Montessori School on Theodore near Rt 59. If this is close to you it is definately worth looking into it. She will be starting her second year in acouple of weeks. She really likes her school and the friendships she has developed there. Although she has participated in the summer camps offered she is eager for the new school year to begin. It is for 3-6 yr olds and offers full day Kindergarten. I am not sure if there are openings. I do know enrollement starts in January.

My son attended Peaceful Hearts on 126 & 59. The teacher was great. I have also heard good things about Apple tree, St Mary's, and Plainfield Junior Village.

My oldest attended Appletree Preschool for two years. My youngest is now going to start in Sept! It's such a loving, caring and enriching program. it's a highly sought after program though, and there are lottery sign ups in January for the following school year (so I am not sure you can get in for this year, but can try for next year). It's right on Fraser and 59 inside of the Plainfield United Church of Christ building. Email if you need more information!

ELITE CHILDRENS ACADEMY IN PLAINFILED IS NEWER & THE OWNER IS THE DAUGHTER OF THE WOMAN WHO STARTED MARY SEARS CHILDREN'S ACADEMY. I LIVE IN CREST HILL & TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO THE LOCATION IN LEMONT, AND HAVE HAD VERY FEW PROBLEMS. SHE WOULD TO THE OTHER LOCATION BUT THIS IS ON MY WAY TO WORK. MY SISTER ALSO HAD ALL 3 OF HER CHILDREN IN THE OLD ALSIP LOCATION (WHICH WAS SOLD) AND ALSO HAD GOOD CARE.

the park district has a nice program - if you can get them into it - The school district also has a preschool - Bonnie McBeth - that is fantastic!
