Preschools in Shorewood or Plainfield

I sent in a request a while ago about a preschool for my son. When I went to find one to send him to I found that many, if not all, do a lottery. I guess my question is what do you do if you do not get picked in the lottery. Also, can anyone recommend a great preschool in Plainfield or Shorewood?

What can I do next?

I send my 4 yr old to Joliet Park Districts pre school. I am very happy with his teachers and what he is learning. He has gym class every Tues. and music every Thurs. and everyday they do some type of art project. If you have any questions just let me know.

I send my 3 yr. (almost 4) to La Petite Academy on Rt. 59 and Caton Farm Road (behind Walgreens). She started last Jan. right fter she turned 3. She loves it. She goes twice a week, 8am to 12pm. I find that it isn't all that expensive either. They give her lunch and a snack. It's $58/wk but more expensive as you add days. I didn't want to overwhelm her, but as I said, she loves. Every day she asks if it's a school day. It also gives a little one-on-one with my 2 yr. old.

Hope that's helpful

Hi D.,
My daughter attends Trinity Christian Preschool in Shorewood. Well, actually, we take her to the classrooms they're renting at Judson Baptist Church at the corner of Black & Infantry in Joliet. So far, we like it there. She's learning well and looks forward to going.

Both of my sons have now attended AppleTree Preschool (Rt. 59 and Fraser). They do have a lottery process that will take place in January for next years class. It's a small program, very loving and great for the kids. They work with the kids at their pace and aim to give them the skills that are requested for starting K in the plainfield School district.

They have all the lottery information on there. But once you are an AppleTree mom, always an AppleTree mom. And your (even future) children will get preference.
