Looking for Your Advice on Finding Baby Things...

Hello J., congrats on your second baby! I have found that Once Upon a Child is a great place to find gently used baby stuff. (Just like their slogan!) It is recommended that you don't purchase used car seats. Most places won't even sell them. If they have been in an accident or recalled, you may not know. I have borrowed from friends, though. Just make sure that they haven't been in a car accident, or recalled. There are a few websites you can check. Good luck!

I was just at Once Upon a Child and they do NOT have used car seats. Swings and bouncer and toys and clothes.

There is also a nice consignment store across the road from Once Upon a Child behind O'Charleys off Kingston Pike in Knoxville called the Weepeat Boutique. When I had my daughter 2 years ago we got her swing there and a stroller, and they have great sales on used baby clothes also. Things are always in great shape there!!!

Hi! Sure- I was just there today! There is a place called Once Upon a Child off of Kingston Pike in Knoxville (they are all over the country, though) and they have very reasonably priced used clothes (in GREAT condition) and stroller, cribs, highchairs, etc....anything and everything you could want or need for your little one on the way and older kids too. I have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter and a little boy due on Jan 6th- so, NO used boy clothes I could pass down from my little girl who only loves pink!!! So, for the price of probably 2 or maybe three little outfits at regular stores, I picked up a HUGE selection of newborn and 3-6 month clothes that look new and are really cute- there is an assortment of name brand stuff too, if you are looking for that. They have toys, books and even pregnancy clothes! Anyway, other than gifts people give us, I do most if not all of my kids clothes shoppping there because it is just really a huge saving and a great deal.
