I had acid reflux for many years and was on Prilosec or Zantac for a long time. I've always been a bit on the chubby side. I started Weight Watchers and lost 50 lbs and guess what?? No more acid reflux! I'm still not thin, but just changing my diet was the answer. I haven't had to take anything for it since then (it's been a couple of years). The number one thing...no fried foods or fast foods! Tomatos & Citrus can be tough too. For me, once I gave up the fast foods & fried foods, I had no problem eating citrus-y foods or tomatoes.
