N.K.
My office wouldn't have all those cleaning products handy. I've heard that Sprite or 7-Up works on some stains. If all else fails, I'd do the spilling coffee on it as well.
OK I just got up off of my office chair and discovered a huge blood stain on my seat. Yup. Luckily I have a long sweater to wear until the end of the day (whew) but what do I do about my seat?? I blotted and rubbed with a papertowel soaked in soapy water and the stain is still there. How do I get rid of this?? It's an office chair and I'm embarrassed somebody is going to see it. Thanks!
Thanks everyone!

If you can't get it out, spill some coffee all over the chair!!
If you can't spill coffee over it, just trade chairs with someone else after everyone leaves. :) Assuming you all have the same type of chair. If you are going to try to clean it I would come back after hours and try to clean it if you can.
might be hard to get a hold of, but whenever I have blood stains I use hydrogen peroxide, poor it on and let it bubble up and then put down a towel and sit on it.. has worked on my computer chair at home..
Go to the janitor's closet and see what you can find. Hydrogen peroxide, spot shot, try anything. If nothing helps, Amanda W. got my vote. "Spill" coffee on that bad boy!
get a rag, or a stack of paper towels and soak them with hydrogen peroxide. Blot the stain with it. I use peroxide to get blood stains out, but I've never tried it on a chair. It might work!
I used to donate blood a lot. Once one of the tubes splashed a little and I got blood on my shirtsleeve. The technician apologized and grabbed one of those saline IV bags that are everywhere in hospitals. She drained some of the saline solution (just salt water) on my shirt and the blood stain disappeared. She said salt water is the ideal blood remover. You should be able to find salt and water easily in an office, hopefully. Make a strong solution and be liberal with it.
I would say Ice and some towels and just keep blotting. i have found that the colder water works better..my tap water is not cold enough I need to add ice cubes!
I hate that!
lol in 7th grade I wore thsoe white canvas jazz shoes and I used to always sit on my foot! and guess what I got my period, I could cover my butt with a sweater but had to walk around all day with a stain on my shoe. luckily no one really knew what it was from!
I don't have anything to add other than sending you big virtual hugs.
I've seen Sprite/7-Up work on blood on a cream color couch...
I have used Natures MIracle with good success. I know it's for dogs but it is an enzyme releaser and does a good job on cat pee, dog pee, blood, vomit, you name it. You get it at Petsmart.
I'm guessing it isn't black? When I picture an office chair I picture black. BTW, I like using natural cleaning products for everything else, but I will say that Resolve works great on upholstery. Also, sometimes just salt and seltzer water can help...
LOOOOOVE the coffee spill idea!
peroxide gets blood out - but I would be careful to not bleach the chair - also - cold water....you may have to really get your chair wet in order to get it out.
I am so sorry ~ hope you get this all figured out!
I have used Spot Shot to get blood out of fabric on more than one occasion because of our dog. It works, but the odor of the cleanser is a little strong. So if you use it, do at the end of the day, so you aren't smelling that all day. You spray and blot it until the stain comes out. Another option may be to get a pad for the seat and just hide the stain.
Run to a store and get some Shout or Spray-n-Wash. Spray thoroughly, and wipe vigorously with wet rags. When you've done this enough, blot with dry rags.
I've done this on a car seat and removed it this way. Hopefully you can be subtle. :)
