I am new to the area and interested in joining a mom's group to meet friends with kids-can anyone out there send me information and maybe describe the group so I can determine the fit? I am looking for a mom's group that meets in evening/weekend due to work schedule-also I prefer the club to be in North Jersey-Essex/Morris County...

There's a great one in Morristown for the town and surrounding areas...very laid back, and evening activities as well as daytime ones

1. Go to www.meetup.com. There are a ton of groups there: Morris County Moms, New Mommies and Babies, Working Moms, etc.
2. Check out http://www.mothersandmore.org/. They have really great resources, and it's totally worth the annual fee. Awesome playgroups, etc!

I belong to the Essex & Passaic County playgroup - you can find it through www.meetup.com. We are officially based in Wayne, but we have many get-togethers all over Bloomfield, Montclair,Clifton, Livington, as well as Wayne area. About 115 members right now, with LOTS of working moms, so we have lots of weekend and evening activities. The kids range in age from newborn to 4 years old, though most are in the 18month - 30 month age range. Activities include playdates at members' home, pumpkin picking, zoo trips, mother's night outs (as well as mother's nights in), Halloween parties, pool parties, you name it! We are a very friendly and diverse group. Hope you'll join us!
