My 2 1/2 year old loves music and he tells me that all the time. Where can I find any music lessons (i.e. piano, guitar, drums, violin, etc.) for his age group in Garland or in an area around Garland.

I highly recommend Kindermusik. My 4 year old has been going since she was one and really loves it.
I don't know if he teaches students that young, but call Kevin Curtis with Troubador Music. They teach guitar, bass guitar and piano. ###-###-####
There is a very well respected program called Musikarten. I have not had any personal experience with them, but I understand it is a program created by the Kindermusik group. It is for kids from birth and up. I only know about them because they have the classes at my church, Wilshire Baptist, Mockingbird and Abrams in East Dallas. We live in Garland and so it is not a bad drive. The program is put on by East Dallas Children's Music http://www.eastdallaschildrensmusic.com/index.html. I have heard a lot of good things about the program.
Inquire through your/a church for anyone that might give music lessons. In the meantime, get your child a guitar/keyboard for children. Keep in mind most music instructors do not begin teaching children till that have completed pre-K or Kindergarten.
Good luck.
Kindermusik! I'm happy to see that many other moms have recommended Kindermusik. It really is the best start for your child. I teach in Plano & Dallas and I know there is also a location in North Garland at Jupiter & Lookout. Its something like the Academy of Arts. If you want more information, I'd be glad to give it to you for any of the locations. Musikgarten was not started by Kindermusik. They are a separate program. My son has been in Kindermusik since he was 4 mos old and he is now 3. He loves it and I can't say enough positive things about what it has done for him, developmentally. You can always try a class out for free and then they will prorate your tuition from there. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to talk to you about it!
We're headed to the Rockwall School of Music Monday morning for the first class session of Kindermusik! I'm not sure if you could still sign up for this class (they've already ordered the kits for each registrant), but I'm pretty sure there are going to be some other Kindermusik classes starting up in the general area.
It's a little pricey, but it's a 1-price-for-the-whole-family rate & since my two kiddos both seem to be, like yours, in love with music, we felt it would be an investment in a solid first step toward a structured learning environment.
We have been going to The Suzuki Institute of Dallas since my daughter was just under 3 (she is about to turn 6). We love it! They are great with the little ones. Check them out at http://www.suzukidallas.com/public/home.aspx

Look into Kindermusik classes in your area. They are awesome! I am a mom and teacher in them, and I highly recommend them. If you don't have any in Garland, look at soundsteps.com for Dallas classes . Let me know if you have any questions - L. Manders
