No babies don't need cereal in their formula. They usually don't sleep throught the night a 1 month anyways.
Hi! Before i ask question i just want to say Thank you to all the moms who gave their opinions and advices i just dunno how to reply back! But thank y'all!
My question is, is it ok to put gerber on my baby's milk? Because some people adviced me to do that because that is how they do it to satisfy their baby and make them sleep good.
A.
thank you for all your comments! i didn't put cereal

I wouldn't feed a one month old baby solids. I agree it's more likely to cause them discomfort and pain as their little body isn't ready for that. I would suggest feeding the baby more often if still hungry. Some don't sleep all night until they are several months old.... congrats!!!!
No, it won't. What it will do is sit in the baby's tummy and rot. It will cause gas and bloating. It's really really really bad for the baby to have any food before age 6 months. DO NOT PUT RICE or any other food in the baby's bottle.
The baby needs to eat all the time so they can grow. They need to double their birth weight in the first month of so of life. Then they have to grow other stuff then go back and grow their body's again.
Lots of stuff for a baby to do.
Giving the food is not good for them. Only formula, only formula.
A baby should be waking to eat every couple of hours until they're older. It's normal for the baby to wake up all night. If you put them to sleep with food or medication they might not even wake up at all. Don't do anything but formula.
It is not necessary to put cereal in the milk. Many pediatricians say it is dangerous/bad. So don't listen to "people"... listen to your doctor.
No, its not alright to give a 1 month old baby cereal. Their digestive system is not mature enough to handle it. Know that a baby that age needs to eat during the night. Giving them cereal may make sleep more difficult because of stomach pain due to gas. And they will still need to eat because their bodies aren't able to go any longer without sustenance.
I urge you to learn about caring for a newborn. Read about it. Talk with your baby's pediatrician. Ask him for a referal to a public health nurse. Call the county health clinic for help if you don't have a pediatrician.
No, breastmilk or formula only. This can cause allergies later on in life, because the digestive system can't handle it as well. I remember hearing from my pediatrician that breastmilk actually coats the GI tract to protect it. My baby is five months, exclusively breastfeeds and is chubby and sleeps twelve hours at night with only one feeding in-between. She is receiving all that she needs. I know that being a mom is hard and sometimes confusing, and babies can be hard to figure out, but talk to your pediatrician about this, too. I read also, that adding cereal can actually cause an opposite effect, making them wake more frequently. Blessings, momma!
Oh no No NO - a 1 month old needs breast milk or formula.
Who are these people that are giving you infant care advice?
Do you have a pediatrician that you go to for well baby care visits?
"As of 2011, the World Health Organization, UNICEF and many national health agencies recommended waiting until six months of age before starting a child on food.".
You can start giving cereal at 6 months but even then they don't digest it well until they are closer to 1 yr old and for all that time breast milk or formula is food that is easily digestible and will provide them with the nutrition they need to grow and develop.
A newborns stomach is about the size of a walnut.
It fills up fast but it's so small it doesn't last long so you have to feed every few hours.
If you can post online then you can find information about infant care even if you are in China.

If you are talking about putting something like rice cereal in the bottle. No, you should not do that.
If you are concerned about your baby's spitting up bring the baby to the doctor and have them checked for reflux. Babies spit up all the time. Keeping them upright after a feeding. Making sure they do not have a trapped air bubble, making sure you are not over feeding are all things you can do to help reduce it.
Putting rice cereal in a bottle is a choking hazard and does not help fill baby up to make them sleep longer. Your baby needs to be waking for those feedings. They do such a huge amount of growing and developing and they need all those nutrients and calories in order to do it and be healthy. Their stomach is only as big as their fists, they need to eat often because they can't take too much at a time. Don't try filling their tiny little tummies with nutritionless goo.
Hi A. - formula or breast milk only for 6 months. Their tummys are not developed enough for solid food. Babies DON'T sleep like adults because they are small, their stomachs are small, and cause they are growing fast. Babies sleep when they sleep. Every baby is different.
Check your local Half Price Books, or library for the book "What to expect - The first year". It's a pretty easy read and goes through the whole year of baby development for your baby.
Call your pediatrician with questions - the nurses will help you out if there is a problem or if you're just nervous. You're a new mom, nerves are normal and their job is to help. They might even have a book that they can give you or recommend.
NO, please don't! it will cause stomach issues!
if you want baby to get a good sleep at night, wake baby every 3 hours during the day. And starting today, put her on a schedule. So wake her at the same time every morning, and try to put her down for naps around the same time.
No you can't give the baby anything at this point other than breast milk or
formula.
The baby will get up a lot all night & through the day.
Just feed her the breastmilk or formula.
Also, baby will wake every 2-3 hrs to feed. Their tummies are tiny so just pick her up quietly, feed her, burp her, hold her, put her to bed etc. They sleep more as they age.
breast milk ONLY for first six months.
some babies sleep through the night at 5 months, some not till 2 years or more. they're all different. you can try sleep training if you need to when the baby's a bit older but that's a separate issue from nursing.
some people are formula pushers, especially older generations and some cultures where formula was (sometimes still is) seen as a sign of prosperity, and breastfeeding associated with being poor and backwards. don't fall into the trap.
all your baby needs right now is your fabulous, fresh, warm, free and always available mother's milk. the perfect food.
good luck mama!
No solid food in bottle to baby. Baby is about to do a growth spurt and that is another reason for the extra need for food. It usually starts around a month and goes to six weeks.
Do get a book on what to expect the first year of life for you and your baby. There are many answers to the questions to ask there. Call your doctor for the other questions.
Sleeping at this age is on and off and a routines begins around three months. You rest when the baby rests and do what you can. If you need help ask for it from your hubby or friends in your support group.
Good luck to you.

Feeding a baby solid food before they are 6 months old will cause them to develop diverticular disease as adults. This is a life long digestive condition. So no do not listen to anyone who wants you to go agains doctor's advice.
Solid foods, especially cereal, can actually increase a baby's hunger, because it is digested and stored as fat faster than breast milk or formula. It also has almost no nutritional value except for calories.
Do not introduce solids before the baby is 6 months or so, unless your baby's pediatrician specifically recommends it (sometimes used to reduce reflux). One month old babies seldom sleep well, and most need to eat every few hours, even at night, for normal development and growth.
Your baby is ONLY 1 month old?
Are you taking her/him to the Pediatrician for her check ups?
You should be following the Pediatrician's instructions.
And no, do not put Gerber in baby's milk.
An infant's digestive system is NOT even fully developed yet.
And "solids" is NOT even, as nutritionally dense as breastmilk or Formula.
Not that young you would not want to.
