My baby is due anyday now and I just realized I have everything but the sling! I have a baby Bjorn but I'd also like something for just around the house. Something stretchy, lightweight and EASY to use. I have a 19 mo old so an easy sling is a must!
They were out of almost everything at Babies R Us last weekend which is why I did not get one. I'd be willing to buy a used one from one of you if any of you have one you'd like to sell. I don't want to spend too much money as I've already spent an arm and a leg! I'd like to purchase a sling by this weekend. Any suggestions??? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you! I'm delivering at Baylor so I'll go ahead and take the mom's advice to buy one in the store there. I didn't even know they had a store! I just need one quick. I don't have time to drive around or buy online. I think my contractions are starting! :)

If you're looking for something simple, I used and still use a Fairy Godmother Sling. They sell them at Baylor hospital's Simply Mom's shop. You can order other brands of the same thing online, but it's great to be able to try it on before you buy. The shop is also staffed with nurses who are always happy to help fit you perfectly and explain how to use the sling.
This is just a simple pocket type sling. 1 piece of fabric sewn into a loop and folded in half. When I first saw it I thought it looked flimsy and crazy - I'd never use that. But it works great. I used it to breastfeed, he would sleep in it, I could carry him around the mall... and these days at 21lbs it allows me to carry him on my hip and still have my hands free. Highly recommended.

Love love loved the Moby Wrap. It was about $30 and carries up to 40ish pounds. We ordered ours online, so I'm not sure where/if you can get one locally.

It's very easy to use after you practice a couple of times & you can do several different types of holds. My little one did not like to be put down, so we purchased this so that I could carry her around the house and still get things done. My husband was also able to use it and frequently did when we were out & about.

I made my Moby style wrap and I love it. I have a 17 month old son and he loves it too.
