I have met a muralist that does work around Independence, Blue Springs and Lee's Summit. I'm not sure of his name, but I have met him quite a bit. I own the Gymboree Play and Music in Lee's Summit, so we are at Baby's R Us in Independence a lot manning a table. Anyway, this muralist is always there. The next time you are in there ask when their next fair like that is. It is always a Saturday. The mural guy will be there with his big display of all the murals he has done. I spent some time looking at them and they looked cute. He loves to chat too, so be sure you have time to talk to him :)

A neighbor of mine bought a projector that you just stick a picture or print out of what you want in and it puts it on the wall. I want to say she got it at Target or maybe Hobby Lobby or Michael's. But she said it was pretty inexpensive. She's done several rooms in her house and we have passed it around and it is so easy. I did both of my boys' rooms and I have so much pride showing off their rooms. One boy has a monogram and the other has a saying from my favorite book and so on. Give it a shot.
