Stride Rite has wide sizes. Just look for the "W" following the size. If you're near Carlsbad, the outlet there always has great deals.
Hello all. I am trying to find shoes for my 9 month old little boy who has really fat feet! I don't want to get such a large size that there is an inch of space in the toe as he will be learning to walk soon and I don't want to trip him! Can anyone recommend a brand or a good place to look?
Thanks everyone for the great advice! We are going shopping today and I am confident that we will find something to fit his feet!

I also agree, Stride Rite is the best. My son also has very wide feet and they have extra, extra wide shoes and they fit him perfectly. You will spend more but you will love them!
Nike makes a wide tennis shoe. We needed for just a couple of sizes and then his foot thinned out. They were a little high in price but I found them at Sears. Hope that helps.. P.
For a more affordable choice, try Payless. I was just there yesterday and noticed a new line of wide width shoes for infants.
Pedipeds are the perfect shoes for early walking.....and they work for fat feet also!
See Kai Run have the widest shoes I have seen, my daughter had a semi wide foot and these were too wide for her!
Remember before they are walking and even when they first learn soft soled shoes are the only way to go for development.
My daughter also has extra-wide feet. The ONLY place I could find quality shoes for her feet was Stride-Rite. Have those feet measured every 3-4 months & you should have a happy little guy. Good luck!
Hi S.!
My little guy has some fat feet too and I've found that Stride Rite has the best shoes for these kind of feet. I hope this helps :)
