Welcome!!
I love Dr. Cope with Sandhills Pediatrics..He is very patient with all of my questions..I hope this helps.. :)
I am moving to Columbia on thursday from FL and could really use some help finding a doctor for my 8 month old baby girl. I want the basics, Some one who listens to what I am saying, doesn't rush me out of the office and if I don't agree with what they say, they don't try to make me feel guilty about how I feel. Thanks!

What part of Columbia are you moving to?
WE moved to this area from FLorida last fall as well and we have been very impressed with Palmetto Pediatrics. They have offices in Lexington and Columbia and we have used both and there is hardly ever a wait, the doctors and nurses are kind and caring, you can always get through on the phone without reaching an annoying busy signal, you can get same day appointments if necessary and they always take you immediately if you have an "emergency situation" that doesn't require 911. Overall this area has high quality of medical care but if I had to do it all over again and asked someone's advice I would hope they would direct me to Palmetto Pediatrics. Hope this helps...
We use Dr. Laura Rickenmann at Sandhills Pediatrics, located at 9 Richland Medical Park. She's been great with both of our children.
Sandhills Pediatrics is the best! We see DR. Finch but all of the doctors are wonderful. The staff is super friendly and they have a weekend clinic which we have had to use with our 8 month old.
I highly recommend Dr. Trey Castles, he is part of Pediatric Associates. Even though they are a nice size group of doctors you only see your doctor and his nurse everytime you have a scheduled visit. They also have someone on call all weekend and you can always be fit in if your baby is sick. They are absolutely wonderful, Dr. Trey always sits and talks with you and listens....I am soooooo happy with him. If you want to contact them the phone number is ###-###-####. You know I must like my pediatrician, we drive half an hour to see him. Hope I was some help, I know this is a very important decision.
palmetto pediactrics is great and theres one in the irmo area of cola and downtown cola

We take our daughter to Dr. Waddell at Sandhills Peds...she's WONDERFUL! I highly recommend her! Their practice is wonderful and I know other mothers who see drs there and are completely pleased as well. Dr. Waddell takes her time, really engages with my daughter and really sits down and listens and explains things to me. Us first time moms really need extra TLC, in my opinion...and she gives that. They're great to call after hours too and get an answer to whether you should be concerned about something that might be going on at that moment so you don't stress or run out to the ER. Good luck and welcome to SC!
Hi.. good luck with the move. I use Sandhills Pediatrics and absolutely love the practice (particulary Dr. Ledlie). They don't mind me calling with silly first time mom questions and always have time to answer me.
We use Sandhills Pediatrics, Drs. Waddell and Thomas, and they are just fantastic! I have heard wonderful things about Palmetto Pediatrics as well and I have a friend who is a nurse there. I think either practice would be a great choice. Sandhills has several offices around town. Good luck with your move!
