So What Happened?

I wanted to thank everyone for their great help in helping me find my kids a good pediatrician. I decided to go to Palmetto. I had more people say they went there and were happy with them. So thanks again for all your help.

Hi, C..

I have three sons, 7, 5 and 3. We've been in the Columbia area since the oldest was about 8 months old and we use Palmetto Pediatrics. Our specific doctor in the practice is Barry Cabiness, but they are all good. They also have offices all over Columbia. Their Northeast office is on Polo Road right behind Stein Mart. They've been very proactive in treating my kids and they've spotted some things that otherwise we may have missed. They also have emergency hours on both Saturday and Sunday mornings in their downtown office and they have awesome nurses. The Northeast office number is ###-###-####. Good Luck.

Dr.Solaja at Milestones Pediatrics is excellent. The office is never overcrowded at all and they are very professional. She is very patient and explains things very well. My husband loves her because he gets to ask lots and lots of questions without feeling silly. She takes her time to address concerns and you can get in and out without waiting for hours. The are located in the Wildwood Center just past the Walmart on Two Notch in the northeast. The telephone number is ###-###-####.

FYI: When I moved to this side of town I started taking my son to Dr.Ellis, Green,& Green for dental services and we both love it. They are very well staffed and allow the parent to sit next to the child during services instead of watching through a window. They also have an arcade for the kids.

We use Palmetto Pediatrics, downtown. My son's pediatrician is Dr. Barker and he's excellent. The other docs in that practice are great too, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr's Barker, Painter, and Walker (Dr. Walker is in the NE office). All the nurses there are excellent too.

I think our pediatrician is one of the best! His name is Dr. Michael Barker with Palmetto Pediatrics and has a downtown office and also one in Lexington. We go to the downtown office on Harden St and the number there is ###-###-####. He will see you for an initial consultation to ask any questions and "tour" the office. I have been pleased with him every visit and he is extremely knowledgeable. He is young with toddlers of his own, so he will be a good pediatrician for their entire childhood. They will be able to give you good directions when you call to make an appointment. Hope this helps!!
