I'd like to bring in some money, but my kids are definitely my first priority. Anyone know of any "work at home" or internet jobs that aren't scams or that are actually worth my time? I am very crafty, good with people, and can type fast. THANKS LADIES!

I run an online store on ebay. I always find deals at thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales etc. Also you can sell Mary Kay, they offer a website and can also make sales to friends. Through them you can get health, car, extra money and prizes etc.
Also i can suggest www.fiverr.com there you post what you will do/ offer and make $5.00 i heard that one women makes an extra 1000. a month by writing stuff in sand taking pics and emailing it to people. Like Will you marry me? Etc
Hope that helps

I do not know about work from home jobs...but I can tell you what I do...I work at my local grocery store. I work as a Baker in the bakery department. I work VERY PT! When I work Mon-Fri, I only work from 4am-8am so that I can be home in time to get my oldest off to school and be home before my hubby has to leave for work. On the weekends I can work anytime but usually work from 5am-1:30p or 4am-12:30p. I do not put in a ton of hours (usually >20 hrs) but I get paid weekly and use my paychecks for grocery shopping. I get my employee discount plus an extra percentage off of the store brand products, which is great because they have recently come out with their own "organic" line. My store is a big name store with chains nationwide and the benefits are excellent.

It is not for everyone, waking up that early...but I am a morning person anyway and it is way worth the sacrifice knowing that we do not have to pay for child care or that strangers are watching my kids!

Good luck with your search...

Why don't you find one or two children to watch in your home. I watch children in my home. I love it, I get to be a M. to my kids and my daycare babies all day. My kids also love having a couple extra kids around to play with!!

Working from hoome is hard, requires discipline and a lot of focus.

If you can do that..........GREAT.... Figure out what you are best at and market your skills... Most of the MLM's that hit you up want yo uto sign up so they meet their requirement of signups. THEN, you are required to sign people up, and so forth.... investing, selling, etc.

Market your skills.... typing, bookkeeping, babysitting, etc.

We run our company from home, I have a private bookkeeper come in to help me with QuickBooks because I am still learing a lot about QB and I need help. I pay her $85 an hour. In the Spring, I have to do a power point video show for the cheer banquet... My daughter will help but I'll probably hire someone proficient with Power Point to put together a fantastic slide show to music for the banquet. I'll probably pay her/him do run it for me during the banquet.

Figure out what you are good at. We pay for good skilled people with our family business.... you have a fit somewhere!!

I also looked into many different at home jobs when deciding whether to go back to work for corporate America, or to stay at home and be with my 2 small children (2 yrs and 5 months) I looked at medical transcriptionist, data entry, etc. I recently started working with a health and wellness company and I am able to do it, while caring for my children. No one knows if I am nursing the baby, and none of the moms I am talking to care if there is backround children noise. It is a 'fit' for my life with my children. I would love to share all of the info with you! Please msg me, or go to my website at www.workfromhomeunited.com/themillers and request more info and I will give you a call today!

I asked this question before and the best answers I got involved copywriting. You can type the subtitles to tv shows. There are also sights where you submit a sample of your writing and they grade it and put you up for online copywriting jobs based on your ability. And fiver - what would you do for $5. I looked into them. They weren't scams. There was no money up front. Granted, it was going to take a long time sitting at a desk to make any money. Search my questions and the specific websites are there.

Try placing an add online through Craig's list offering your typing skills. If you are near a college sometimes students will pay to have their stuff typed up, flyers with your number may work here.

You may need to think outside the box to create an opportunity for yourself. Talk to family and friends and find out if there are things you can do for them that they would be willing to pay for.

My husband's grandmother used to baby sit and launder men's shirts. She did very well with these two services from her home. Since you say you are crrafty, do something crafty others would want. Use your children, family and friends for walking advertisement. If you sew, even better, dry cleaners are always looking for someone to do alterations, if you are good. They may even be willing to source out that work. Ask, inquire, and think outside the box. I hope this helps.

From a business owner that helps people set up local preschool directories all across the country, beware of pretty much everything that advertises you can make large amounts of money from home...even making $1000/month is difficult when working 100% from home unless someone you know hires you for some type of data entry job. And most people won't hire you for a data entry job in your home. Even Craigslist ads can be scams, so be careful!

Your best option is to take in a few kids that are a good fit for your kids and your home. It's a win-win situation. You're home with your little ones and they have friends to play with. Good luck!

I agree with maybe one or two children care in your home, I will be watching one child shortly and it will help with some bills and I can still be home and provide a good environment for the child. I know there are telecommuting data entry and writing jobs out there that are legit, but they are very hard to weed through all of those scams!

If you are crafty and good with people, you would be a good candidate for balloons. You go in restaurants (like Olive Garden) and make balloons... my sister does it about 3 nights a week and averages over $100 a night. I just started and am learning the balloons to go to my fist gig and complete my training.

Anyways, here is the website for the info, and it is legit. You do have to buy your own kit, since you are considered an independent contractor, but it's only about $50 with tax, and it comes with the apron, balloon pumps, training dvds and balloons.

If you don't mind sales and driving around your area, then give Juice in the City a try. You basically go to your local shops (bakeries, salons, little gym...) and such and offer them advertising in exchange for coupon deals for the website readers. I was going to do it, but decided it would be too difficult since my kids are still home with me. Info here:
