For medication try HEB's plan that is $5.00 and gets you a lot of items for $5 or less. I thought it was just for Seniors but found out different when I looked at it.

Does anyone know of a inexpensive medical insurance policy and/or RX policy? Please let me know if you have any advice or idea. Thanks!

Depending on what your needs are - for yourself or your children?
If it is for your children and we you meet a certain income level you may be eligible for the Texas Children's insurance policy.
If it's for you search the internet for a policy with a reputable company you're familiar with. You can also check out - for comparison purposes - www.rayarnold.com - he has several options for you / your family.
My two children and I are on Scott and White and love it. We have vision and dental. I was covered for the delivery of my second and had a wonderful experience. The thing to look out for is high deductibles and what is NOT covered. If you're looking to just cover children and don't qualify for CHiP, the rates at S&W are awesome. You can google their website and see the rates. Good luck!
Hi my sister in law sells insurance and she will give you different rates her name is Loretta Poland her number is ###-###-#### tell her Shonda sent you just tell her what your looking for
hope that helps
Hi Sheila,
I'm an independent health agent as well and there are several plans available that may work well for your family. It doesn't cost any more to use an agent than it does to go on your own, so even if you don't call me, please do find an agent who can walk you through the plan differences and help you make an informed decision. Have a great day and good luck!

Whoever you go with, do not go with Mega Life. We have them and wish we could change, but we get denied by others unfortunately.
Hi Sheilah,
I am an independent health insurance agent and have helped a few mom's from mamasource find health coverage. There is no pressure or obligation. I ask a few questions and give you a quote on several well known and A rated companies. I would be happy to help.

Hi Sheila
I have a source but I will have todiscuss it with you privately. PM me when would be a good time for us to chat.
It may be what will meet your needs and for a family is very reasonable.
good Luck.
I have an individual policy through Blue Cross Blue Shield that has a $500 deductible AND a dental plan for $315/month. Before that I had Golden Rule (through United Health Care) for $200/month but I had a VERY high deductible of $2500 and no dental plan but both plans have good Rx plans. Good luck!
We have private insurance for husband through Aetna, it is the best policy I could find for low price and dectuctible that still will pay for doctors visits. He would never go to the doctor! unless we had that covered. I believe I went to Einsurance.com to compare the companies.
Many insurance carriers now carry individual policies which are fairly reasonable. The nice thing about these policies is that you can take them with you to your next job. Call BCBS if you are under 200 lbs and are reasonably healthy you should be able to qualify. If you weight over 200 lbs then they charge you more or won't offer you a policy. My boss gave us a pay increase to cover 90% of the cost of the coverage verses him purchasing a group policy for our office. This has saved him alot of money doing it this way. we get coverage and it doesn't cost him an arm and a leg.
Try Blue Cross. Their website explains everything and they have lots of options.
Depending on your prescriptions, check into meds that are on the plans that stores are offering. For ex: the $4, $9 or $14 plans at Walmart, Walgreen's, CVS, and Target. Often they are items that other stores offer at the price and you can ask the other stores to price match to get it at the same price where you might be doing your regular shopping.
These are great prices and I have insurance. However, it's better to pay the $9 than the $30 co-pay for the same meds. Use programs that might be available.
