Does anyone have any ideas on how to baby proof a lazy susan?

Can you not lock the cabinet it is in? If it is out, move it to where they cannot reach it? I have baby proofed cabinet locks that were really inexpensive and they don't damage the cabinets.
We just have told the kids they may not play with the cabinets period, other than the "kid" cabinet. Of course, we do lock the ones with anything dangerous in it, so we just don't put anything in the lazy susan that could be harmful. It's worked well for us, especially after they pinch their fingers in the door once or twice. It's kind of child proofed already in that way.
I don't have a lazy susan... but maybe putting a drawer lock on each side would work. Good luck!
