Now, If Only My Husband Could Just, You Know, Get Pregnant!!!

Have I mentioned how much I am clucking for a BABY?!?!

BLERG YARG!

It's a visceral feeling in my bones. When I'm around pregnant women or babies (keep me away from crowded parks and the zoo!!!) my whole body softens and I can't pull my eyes off of them. Please, don't suggest hanging out with a baby for the day, I do it and afterwards I have to send my uterus to the crisis center. Brooding mare over here, LOOK OUT!!!

Anyway, I just thought of a way I could have my cake and eat it too! If I could get my HUSBAND pregnant, (and he dealt with the breast feeding and extreme hormones, and achy body, and birth, and, and, and)...well, every one could win! I could keep my body (pregnancy hurts my body quite a lot - not dangerous, just painful), not deal with the hormones, go to school full time, AND have a baby!

Sigh. But that's not going to happen, is it. ;-)

The more time that goes by, the more this baby making stuff is making me crazy. How long do your baby cravings last? I'm on month eight and I'm not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel yet. Please, just make it stop!

No babies for you Ephie!!! Go to school mama!!! Learn me some math and chemistry, THEN let's talk diapers and boobs the size of cantaloupes.

What can I do next?

As soon as you go to school, you'll forget this itch. You'll still love babies, but you won't have the itch anymore.

Just remember that you've been itching for school!

The only sure fire way to get rid of baby cravings, in my opinion, is having a house full of teenagers.
I've got THREE of them now and you couldn't PAY me to have another kid, especially if I knew it was going to be a girl!

Oh Ephie-

I CAN say that the teenage years 'may' slow the baby urges down...but POST menopause, the yearning for a grandbaby begins - LOL

My oldest is only 23...and just beginning his career...but I find myself looking all over again as I pass the baby department...or I see a baby.

And, as someone mentioned, the idea of having them (loving on them, SPOILING them, and then GIVING THEM BACK) has a great deal of appeal.

Ephie,
I will send you my 16 year old boy for the summer.
That will surely shut your uterus up once it realizes what those lovely little babies become.
I am sooo past the wanting a baby phase that other peoples' babies frighten me - like I could get preggo by association or something.

But, if you can get your hubby pregnant - wow, think of the perks - the exploitation possibilities are endless.

Now, be a good girl and go read a math book.

Well I get like that sometimes, especially since my youngest, my son, is growing up and is 5 now and just finished Kindergarten.
I don't want him to grow up!
He's my last one!
And he's so adorable at 5 years old!

But.reality.sets.in.
I know I don't really want another baby/child.
2 is enough for me.
My Husband wouldn't mind more.
But we are both fine and good with our 2 kids. We have a girl and boy.

Its just a rite of passage... the empty nest feeling as your kids grow up.
But so you have another kid or not.

Oh, Ephie...this just made me giggle! I'm not sure how long it lasts, cuz ya know, I am happy to be in the coo over them and give them back phase! My kiddos are only 2 and 4 so I feel like I'm still in the thick of the drama all day and I have no desire to go back to bottles and cantaloupe boobs! ;) Hang in there, and learn you some math!! :)

OMG! I keep telling my DH that he needs to find a way to become pregnant.
He is super baby crazy. Me, not so much. We have decided to TTC in the fall.

I never really had the "OMG I want a baby". I have two kids and I'm looking forward to THEM having kids. Several of my friends are grandparents already and its so much fun! You love the kiddos and then send them home!!! I vote yes to that! My kids are 23 and 19 so I still have a little bit of time.

My husband was the one who had the "OMG you need to have a baby". I told him one time that I would have the first two and then he could have the others. Yep, as I mentioned, we only have two. He did NOT hold up his end of the bargain. :)

Oh, I am right there with ya except I've been going through baby fever for about a year now. And I am probably the most impatient person you will ever meet. As my fiance and I are having sex, I'm actually PRAYING that the birth control will fail!!! Lol

Ephie, you are so young, you have plenty of time! Get through school first, and then have a blast making that baby! School is rough when you have kids as it is, pregnancy puts more stress on your body.
When the time is right, you will have your precious bundle!!

I'm right there with you Ephie. Mine has been going on for several years now though. I don't know if it'll go away, but I do know that I just try to focus on other projects I have going...like trying to get my bakery open.
