Hello all parents!
I am new to MamaPedia & was hoping I could get some help. I am a single mom new to the Claremont/Ontario, CA area. I have a 4 year old daughter & would love to revive my yoga practice that I put on hold when I gave birth.

I am looking for:
1. A studio that has family yoga (so we can practice together).
2. Or, A good studio that also has a child care option.

What can I do next?

Can't speak to Canada, but I know in the NYC metro area, there are all sorts of yoga experiences, including yoga for/with pets.

Sounds like it might be great fun.

good luck to you and yours,

My daughter (now almost 7) was introduced to yoga through a 6-week program at her preschool, and it was just when I started doing yoga again after a 25-year hiatus. She loves doing poses with me and has gone to a couple sessions with me, but has decided she doesn't like sitting outside the practice room at the studio (it has a no-under-18 policy), so she hasn't been willing to go back. :( Anyway, to answer your question... I think some parent-child classes go by the name 'Mommy and Me', so try searching for that label. Good luck finding a place which will take both of you!

Hi
I lived in Claremont for nearly 20 years. Before moving to Alta Loma (Rancho Cucamonga) in 1995. So, I'm pretty familiar with the area.

My best suggestion would be to check out the Claremont Club. http://www.claremontclub.com/Group-Exercise/Yoga.asp

Good luck to you.

Just google it! :)

My 19 month old dd loves to copy my yoga moves. Take your daughter with you. It'll be terrific bonding time.
