Hi all,
I need help with party favors for a lil diva. I throwing a b-day at the park with my cousin. She is doing the party favors for the boys since it's her son is turning 5 also. Last year with we did the party at itz. The party favors include a cd b-day girl favorite kiddy tunes, a portrait card of the lil diva. For the girls they had american girl lipgloss, lotion, and glitter (Bath and Body works). I don't really have a theme for this year's party. The cake will be a two layer bratz cake. Bratz will not be the theme of the party. We are expecting 25-30 girls ranging from 2 thru 12. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Hi all,
Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I decided to purchase goblets from celebrity expression. I'm going to personalize the cups with my daughter's name and her birthday. I plan to fill the cup with girly stuff, sticker, lip gloss, jewelry..etc.

I always go for bath pampering. Bubbles, scrubbies, bath pillows etc. Walmart has a great selection. Also I liked the idea of summer preps....how about some diva sunglasses or visors? Hair clips or bands are always useful.
Have fun!
I would use Oriental Trading Company:
http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=brow...
You can order several fun items for your party favors, some girly some boyish some non-gender specific and they are very inexpensive...You can get lots of 6 to 12 for most things for under 5 dollars. Plus they are usually not theme oriented.
There is a website that offers everything you need for themed parties from cups, plates and napkins to cake tops, decorations and party favors...the prices are okay...but you are getting everything...you just have to pick a theme...which can be as vague as summer to as specific as a character she likes...the website is:

Good Luck and I hope everyone has a great time!!! ;-)
What about silver purses with lip gloss and party jewelry. You can buy the purses at Wal-mart, Target or at a 99 cent store. You can buy canvas handbags from oriental trading and let them decorate them. I bought about 20 of the silver metalic purses from a 99 cent store and they were very nice. My 9 year old liked them and I bought hers in gold.

what about those little nailpolishes they have in the bins at walmart, 'bon bons" i think they are called, plus they have little lipglosses, body glitter etc
Hit with daughters friends was some bath bombs, or bath salts scented. See if there is someone in your area that makes them at home and would sell them to you. Little girls love to soak in the tub and come out smelling good. Easy and fast. Some stores sell them but they can be expensive. (if bought like that)
What about tutus and hair ties to match? I do parties for kids and one of my themes is princess parties where each girl receives several dress up items to put on and take home! I can sell you just the tutus and hair ties if you want. They are really affordable. I don't know when your party is though...I would need to order more as I am using what I have in stock for a Princess Party this Saturday. Let me know if you want to go this route. Good luck with the party!

Hello! a while back we were invited to a Hanah Montana party, all the lil girls were to come dressed in their best HM attire, some of the girls came in wearing wigs, boots, hanging belts etc. HM style, it was the cutest thing ever! the parents of the b-day girl built a small stage with party disco lights and a strobe light and decorated diva style, they put up a Karaoke machine and all the girls and even the boys could go up there and sing thier fav. song. it was a hoot :-) as the party favors they gave the girls boas, necklaces, sunglasses, stickers, and pencils, and the boys got boy stuff not too sure what they got lol....I have a lil girl. everyone had a blast and the kids realy did enjoy it. We discovered a couple of kids that could be our American Idols in about 15 more years! lol. Hope this helped. fyi...my lil girl turns 4 in August and I'm planning on doing something similar...
The Dollar store has lots of diva stuff. Even the loot bags to fill candy. Good luck.
In this be sure to keep in mind little girls sometime swollow things so you have to be sure anything you do is totally non toxic and not easy to choke on.. Personally I would go to a dollar world and get little purses buy a few $1 boa's and line the top of the little purse, then add each of them a brush and perhaps some lip balm. The Bling can be on the purse party favors in the purse. You can buy little lip balms and hand lotion at any Dollar Store/Family Dollar/Dollar World/Dollar Tree usualy 4 for $1.... Not sure what your budget is but if you have a little to spend these same stores also offer up little crowns that come with gloves for a dollar.. Just a thought.. Hope this helps.. B. Mother of 3 grandmother of 7 little girls 3 little boys (saw where someone advised bath bombs - my brother was the official massage theropist for The Texas Wildcatter Hockey team and he started his own line of Bath Supplies--You can get the balms (even in little girls scents like bubble gum) for less than 4 dollars a pack I think there are 4 to a pack-- if you are interested let me know and I will put the 2 of you in contact).
L.,
I just purchased a Klutz book at Michaels called "Make your own twinkly Tiaras." In the spiral bound book you get 3 tiaras and everything else you'd need to decorate them. You wouldn't need to buy the book, just do it yourself. You could make, in advance, several tiaras made out of thick paperboard and let the girls decorate them with jewels, stickers, sequins, etc. It would be a craft that will keep them busy for a while and it would be a "lovely" party favor that they can keep and enjoy another time.
Have fun,
D.
Buy cheap jewelry, like the beads thrown at madri graw. I just had some on a table and my grandkids loved it. They had so much fun with wearing it. Buy or make little purses and put those necklaces in them. You said age 2-12, even the 2 yr old will love it. At the dollar stores you can buy sometimes 2 boa's for $1.00 give one to each girl as they come in. Not sure about boys.
Target has a great dollar section with lots of girly things and definitely check orientltrading.com for glitter tattoos. They have several different styles to choose from. If you don't have time for delivery and are in San Antonio go over to Amols over on S. Flores, just south of downtown., They carry a lot of the oriental trading merchandise including the girly tattoos, fabulous balloons, boas, fans, bubbles and anything else you can think of for all sorts of party themes. Good luck.
The Barton Creek Mall has a store called Libby Lu. IT'S PERFECT for little DIVAS!!! They do birthday parties. The girls can dress up like rock stars and such and they gals at the store do the makeup and accessories for the girls. You should really check it out. They can "make" their own make-up and perfume.

Hope this works for your diva!
Hey Lakita
I am always in Academy. I found they have an .88 section with all sorts of goodies for kids of all ages, M or F. You could give that a try. Hobby Lobby also carries inexpensive small craft kits. You could do jewelry kits for older girls and auto model kits for the boys, (for the older ones anyways)and you could get the foam self stick stuff for the younger ones! Party ideas are so hard to figure these days since most kids are so much more mature than when we were young. Another idea that you can't go wrong on is a movie pass for the less expensive theaters. Like Tomball Theater is always $3.50. They do have gift books though that average about $2.00 per child. I don't know what your budget is so it is hard to tell you much more. Happy Birthday to the little ones and best of luck to you!! Blessings, B. (www.momsNcharge.com) A website to enrich your family's health and you could make a little extra cash too!!
