My 2-year old daughter fell yesterday and chipped her front tooth. She's never gone to the dentist before and I'm hesitant to take her to my "adult" dentist. I am interested in receiving any recommendations for a dentist (pediatric or general family dentist) in the Wayne area who is good with young children. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

I konw this isn't Wayne, but Dr. Grzybicki in Paoli is really wonderful, she is a pediatric dentist. She is REALLY great, the office is SO friendly for kids. The waiting room has video games, books, and toys. The chairs the kids sit in have TVs in front of them and they can pick something out to watch. After the checkup, they can pick out a toy. She is really sincere...just DON't mention that your child eats any fruit snacks, those are the devil. LOL
If you are willing to drive to Bryn Mawr, Dr. Harshaw is awesome. He has so many things to distract the kids- games, tvs, lots of toys, children's books, etc. I have taken all my kids there, starting around 18 months. One of my kids is really nervous around the dentist, and they continue to be patient with him (even though he is now old enough it shouldn't be a big deal.) My only complaint is that they are expensive. We don't have dental insurance, so I have to pay out of pocket. But I think you get what you pay for!
I also had a child fall and chip a tooth before two years old. What I learned was that there isn't much that can be done. The dentist will make sure the tooth isn't dead and that no blistering or swelling is occurring in the gums. Then you just have to wait until the tooth falls out!
But you are smart to go see a pediatric dentist. Good luck!
Try Charm Pediatric - corner of Townshipline Rd and Dekalb pike in Bluebell. I take my son there and the dentist is great.
Dr. Allan Pyke has an office on Rt 23 in Phoenixville. Has been in practice there for over 20 years and is extremely good and gentle with children.
Hello,
I have not used them myself but my sister took my niece(3) who needed two route canals to:

I dont know if this is too far for you, but they come highly recommended. Good Luck
I would highly recommend Chester Springs Dentistry on Byers Road in Eagle, right off of Route 100. The female dentist there is delightful.
The same thing happened to my daughter when she was older, all they can really do is bond it so it looks normal but she may be too young, I'm not sure.
Good luck!

I love Dr. Jay Goldsleger's practice over on S. Gulph Rd. They have gotten really big over the years but I started going when my 31 year old daughter was 2. His son is now in the practice and they have a state of the art facility. He started as a Pediatric dentist and added adult dentists along the way. Hope that helps. B. (their number is ###-###-####)
I absolutely adore Dr. Benjamin McKee and his staff. They are located in Devon right on Route 30/Lancaster Road. I drive from Spring City to see him. His phone number is ###-###-####. Good Luck!
