if you don't mind driving to Orinda, loads of families are very happy with the care of the Wampler/Katsura/et. al. Pediatric Dentistry practice http://www.alohakidsdds.com/ . Our kids saw Dr. Ameneh Khosrovani and really enjoyed their visits there, but after a couple visits we decided to change to our family dentist b/c we don't have dental insurance and the prices at the Pediatric Dentistry office are quite a bit higher than at the family dentist (Dr. Les Hata in the Rockridge area of Oakland, who *is* a kind and patient dentist whom we're very happy with, but perhaps a bit farther of a drive than you'd prefer).

My son has been a patient of Dr. Randall Chang since he was about a year old. Dr. Chang and his staff are professional, friendly and sensitive to the specific needs of children. Dr. Chang makes it his priority to make his patients feel comfortable and secure in his office. His philosophy is to establish a positive relationship with the children so that they take interest in keeping their teeth healthy. Each chair plays kids movies during treatment, the waiting room has books, toys and even video arcade games. My four year old now loves going to the dentist!

Walnut Creek Pediatric Dentistry. We see Dr. Duane Spencer, and he is great with my kids (2 and 6). My 2-year-old had to go because he chipped his tooth. He is very stubborn, and Dr. Spencer was so patient with him and so gentle. My daughter had two cavities this summer and I thought she was going to completely flip when she had them filled. He did such a great job that she was happy and smiling when she left the office. He is at 1855 San Miguel Dr., and his number is ###-###-####. I can only say great things about him!!!
