Have you lost a bunch of weight? I know that some women who drop too low can stop having a period. You should make an appt with your OB.
I have not had a periiod in 2 mo. i had my tubes tied after my daughter was born 5yrs ago and have been regular every month. I am not preg, have taken test, what could this be i am only 31 too early for menopause?

There's a lot of things that can cause you to miss a period. If you've missed more than two, though, I would call the doctor. It's just better to be safe than sorry!

Hi J., Many things can cause irregularity. Overexercising is one of the most overlooked, it can go either way... you skip them or they come too often. Being too lean can also stop cycles. Stress alone can sometimes disturb the cycle. When I was in the military and had a field exercise, my period wouldn't come until I was back in garrison, which was a lot better than having it while I was not able to shower or take baths! If none of these possible explanations fit, make an appointment with your OB. Best wishes and God bless!
Any stress in your life can make your period go whack. It always affected mine. Stress would either make me not start at all or bleed like a stuck pig for two weeks.... stress is a very weird thing. Luckily I've menopaused and dont have that anymore, but in a way I miss it because it was a great indicatior that I needed to regroup and deal with what ever was buggin me.
I agree that at 31 you are most likely not perimenopausal yet. If there is something in your life that is causing drama, that's probably what it is.
Of course you probably should make an appt with your gyn to rule out any other weird things. Probably the day of your appt you will start. Are you sure you missed your period last month? If you dont write them down sometimes you just plain forget that you did have one.... I was guilty of that on occasion I think.
I'm not sure if tubes can become untied or not, but I'm sure it's probably happened before....make an appt or you will continue to freak out till you do ;)
I have heard of menopause or perimenopause occurring this young. There is an easy way to find out: Go to your Gynecologist, who will do a simple test to check your hormone levels. I had this done several years ago, and can't remember if my Gyn. drew blood or checked urine, to test. Don't worry. If you are ~ menopausal, you will likely be put on hormone replacement because you are so young. If so, opt for a hormone patch, NOT pills; The pills are processed through your liver, which already is overloaded with filtering "junk" from chemicals in our food... My experience with patches is to go with Name brand. Here's why: Most Patches need to be applied 2 times a week. Generic patches I've used were larger & ~ thick, so they retained water from showers & left me with a rash. Name brands are much smaller, transparent, & no more thick than the clear protectors you would put a report page or scrapbook page into. (I use the brand Vivelle dot - It's great) Good Luck! You will be fine. Ps. hormones are what keep you young- Your Gyn can tell you about the benefits/ risks...The important thing is to not engage in risk factors for HRT (hormone replacement therapy), such as smoking.
Go to the doctor and have a gyn exam. Could be any number of diseases or fibriods or tumors or sexually transmitted diseases or some medicines you are taking.
