A.P.
Dr Karen Rehder!!! Love her and the staff. I know she has an office at Shadyside place on south Aiken. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Hi Moms,
I know this is really specific, but thought I'd give it a try. I need to find a new gynecologist. Mine left UPMC and went to West Penn-AGH and now my insurance won't cover a visit to her - boohoo, she was terrific. I'm done having babies, so I don't need a great OB. I need a great gyn who can help me with hormone issues, etc. And he/she needs to be at a UPMC facility.
Thanks for any recommendations!
Both Dr. Noh and Dr. Rehder are in my plan, thank you!
For anyone who might see this who has Highmark insurance - Dr. Alvarado is terrific and you are lucky to have her in your plan.

Can they be a UPMC provider without having UPMC in their practice title? (I hope that made sense!)
I would recommend Sonya Noh. She IS a UPMC provider. Her practice is called Western PA Womens Healthcare Associates PC. She has offices in Wexford, Oakland, and Pleasant Hills.
She is wonderful and takes the time to answer all of your questions, no matter how "crazy" and without judging ;-)
The last time I went I learned that she is no longer delivering babies but that doesn't sound like a problem for you.
(I've had very limited exposure to the others in her practice. Just the necessary rotation during pregnancy. I can tell you that Dr. Carol Krupski is a close talker. Otherwise I can't tell you too much about the others.)
I'll be watching your responses--mine just retired!
Don't know if this helps--I have Blue Cross--I go to Dr Ferris (male) at Pittsburgh GynOb. I've seen him at their Cranberry office and the Allison Park office.
