on my 5th pregnancy Dr sayd I had 2 amniotic sacs and only one baby.
On my 6th pregnancy I had 4 amniotic sacs and only one baby.

All my pregnancies were Verry hard on my body: Hyperemesis Gravidarum, I was not able to keep water down.. I was vomiting the asid in my stomach. Hospitalized and still vomiting...

My question,
Why? so many amniotic sacs? Why didn't the dr. say anything to M. Not even that I had more amniotic sacs than one?
Still, even now, Ive seen different OBGYN, and specialists, they just said: there was more water than what the baby needed its all.

Will this happen again if We decide to have another baby?, Do I have a higher chance to carry multiples?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

- I didnt like the answers the dr. gave:
theres more than one sac. (just like if I didnt have any more questions on this. then they walk out of the room.) Yet Leaving M. with a tons of questions.
- they send M. to specialists and geneologist.. they were asking if my husband and I were related.. NO, He is white from NY, and I am Mexican and Spanish. NO not at ALL related.. the other only answer they said,
Your blood type is so similar the dr.s thought we were related..
Our families were totally worlds apart.

the only thing I learned, our blood type is similar but its Not the same blood type.
so there were no problems like the Rh type blood either..
He is A
and Im AB
Still dont understand all this.

I did have some bleeding, I fell once comming down the stairs at 4months..
All my babies have been premies,
All my babies at 4 months. start contracting and endup being born 1-2months early.

Welcome to mamapedia!!!

You have a lot going on with your pregnancies. none of here are doctors nor have we examined you.

Since you are new here - we don't know how many children you have - do you have 6?

With the problems you have had - vomiting due to acid - which is Hyperemesis Gravidarum - and the multiple sacs - and I were your doctor? I would strongly advice you NOT to have any more babies. It sounds like it is VERY stressful on your body.

I don't know WHY you have so many amniotic sacs. There could be MANY reasons. If you have NEVER had multiples and do not use IVF to get pregnant - it just might be how you are. If the doctor didn't say anything to you about having multiple sacs - how did you know you had more than one?

Doctors and specialist have given you an answer. I take it you don't like it or don't believe it?

If i were you, I would think long and hard before I got pregnant again....sounds like a lot of stress on your body.

good luck

You might do a search for vanishing twin syndrome. Here is one little bit on it from Mayo Clinic.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/twin-pregnancy/PR00120
From Webmd:

WebMD
Vanishing Twin Syndrome

Vanishing twin syndrome is a condition in which one of two fetuses disappears sometime during the first 12 weeks of a pregnancy.

Early in a multiple pregnancy, it is possible for a woman to miscarry one fetus and to notice some vaginal bleeding or to notice nothing unusual. Sometimes the embryo or fetus is reabsorbed by the mother's body.

Vanishing twin syndrome may be caused by too little of the hormone that supports pregnancy (human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG). It does not appear to harm the mother or the surviving twin.

It is something I would check with a specialist and see if there is a chance you could have twins, triplets, etc. or what your choices are if you are low on this hormone, etc.

Maybe on the 7th you would have 6 sacs. Did they say it was a problem or something that just bothered you? I would be more concerned with how hard the pregnancies are on you body. Maybe just focus on the kids you have instead of being miserable for yet another 9 months.

My sister carried double sacs with all three pregancies, it just seems to be her body. Her third pregnancy was REALLY hard on her too, is adoption an option if you want more kids?
