I love Aquaphor!! I use it on dd all the time for dry skin and rashes. But on another note if you bf you should really eliminate most soda and caffene intake. An occasional cup of coffee or glass of soda or tea is fine, but not all the time.
I have a 7-week old baby and she has rashes on her face. I think it's baby acne but I am a little worried that it's because of my diet. I drink coffee and pop a lot. I asked her pediatrician but she recommended that I put Keri lotion on her face. I stopped drinking coffee and pop. The rashes subsided. Do you think it's because of my caffeine intake or it's just dry skin. Thanks.
Thanks for all of your replies! I am leaning a lot. My sister-in-law recommended this website so I created a profile. I asked a question 5 minutes ago and to my surprise, I got a response right away. Thanks!

Your baby has already inspired you to live a healthier lifestyle! I just attended a lecture on nutrition where the doctor stated the worst beverage you can drink is any form of soda, especially diet. He also said we would be surprised that most disease & weight issues could be resolved by drinking more water!

Congrats on your baby girl! It is probably a combination of both the caffeine and dry skin. I use Aquaphor Body Wash for the dry skin and it works great. I would suggest that you also limit the amount of caffeine you take as my doctor has told me it definitely has an effect on the baby. good luck!
I have 2 sons. My first had baby acne my second did not. I am not convinced its your diet, but I am no doctor either. I was told by my doctor that with boys and because I was nursing it had to do with hormones. That, of course, does not explain why my second son had no acne... What I can say is that I was told to use Aquafor (sp) its the diaper rash cream. That helped. Rest assured it will pass.
Being an Arbonne consultant, I personally use our baby care line on both my kids and have been extremely happy with the results. The products are all botanically based, and free of chemical fragrances which can irritate any skin especially sensitive, baby skin. If you're interested, I'd be happy to send you some samples to see if it helps.
I don't know about the diet link to the skin issues, but have been advised to watch my caffeine intake while still BF also.
