Welcome to Libertyville. We have been here for almost 20 years. I love it. Summers are great! If you need advice on preschools or day care let me know. I own a foreign language school. We work with many of the schools and I can help you find one that meets your needs. Or stop by one of our Spanish classes in the area and see if your 3 year old wants to participate :)

Great town, lots of family events planned in the down town area.

Welcome to Libertyville! It's a great town--perfect for kids. You'll love it here. There's a MOPS group that meets at the church behind Condell Hospital on Garfield. A friend of mine has been going for several years and really likes it. As for classes/activities, check Crocodile Pie's website (or just drop in) for the story time schedule. The "Music in the Box" classes at the Sports Complex (sign-up through Parks and Rec) are fun for your age kids. The pool is a fun place to hang out in the summer, if you order a pass before the end of the month you'll save 10% (order through Parks & Rec). Also, Libertyville Gymnastics Academy has fun classes for kids, and they have open gym time...call them for days/times. As for daycare, there is a program at Holy Cross Lutheran on St Mary's. A friend of mine sends her 4-year old there and has been very happy with it. I believe Condell Hospital has a daycare program too. There are several Montessori schools around, I hear great things about Village Green, but I don't think they take babies.

Try Meetup.com. I belong to the Wauconda Area Moms Meetup Group, and they're a great group of women. We don't all live in Wauconda. Some of us live in surrounding areas, even as far as Crystal Lake.
I think your children meet the age requirements for our group, so you're welcome to join us.
If you're looking something even closer, Meetup narrows your search by zip code. Good luck!
