She had been complaining that she doesn't really know anyone but us, her in laws, and one or two friends of my son's. Our son went out with a friend last nite for an hour or two & she was sad that she didn't have someone to do the same with.....

Heres a link to a moms group that Im in. I personally have only been to a few of the events due to Im expecting my 2nd baby as of last Wednesday (overdue!) but they are really nice & have a lot of fun things to do.

Hi K.! Welcome to Sactown!.....like you, when I moved here 2 years ago, I wanted to find friends for me and my little girls.....I was in a mommy group through meetup.com in our previous town and loved it so much, I started my own mommy group through meetup.com.

You are welcome to join my group, Rancho Cordova Cradles to Crayons Group, but I see you are on the other side of town in the North Highlands area...I don't believe there are any meetup.com groups in NH area..but you are right by Citrus Heights....and there are two great groups CHIPS and Citrus Heighs

Besides meetup...you might want to check out Strollerstrides, if you want to do some working out with kiddo and the stroller...also MOPS is a great program too and you may have one that meets at a church that is local to you....

what is nice about meetup is you can put your zip code in and do a search and see what is close to you....they have three categories for what you are looking for Moms, Stay At Home Moms and Playgroups...

How about joining a mommy group? :) I happen to be a local Lactation Consultant who leads a group for new moms (breastfeeding or not). It's a fun group and the moms are great. :)
