I would! like you said, look for cracks... and as long as they're clean. Congrats on #2!
i will be having our second baby this summer and was wondering if it is ok to reuse the nipples from my son's bottles (of course after they have been sterilized...)... i don't want to have to spend another small fortune buying new bottles or nipples... some will be about 2 1/2 years old by the time the new little one gets here. i know to look for cracks and tears, but other than that, is it ok?

Juts make sure the brand of nipples/bottles you have does not contain "BPA's" in it... or it can leach into your baby's body causing harm.
BPA's is a "poison" from certain plastics, that in the body can even affect their endocrine system/hormones and other things. Negatively harming their health.
Avent, is a brand that DOES have BPA's in it. There are others.
Make sure of this first.
Take care and congrats!

I reused mine and my children are 2 years 10 months apart. I have had no problems thus far and my son is almost 10 months old. I'm all for reduce, reuse, recycle!
I think it is OK as long as they are in good condition, but I would really be careful because mine did go bad in the 2 years between babies, and I didn't really realize it until the new baby was here. They looked OK, but they felt funny...kind of gummy and softer than normal.
I'd buy just a couple new ones to have on hand, and see if the old ones still really look and feel the same.
Good luck and enjoy your new bundle!
My two youngest are both boys and 14 months apart, I used the SAME nipples with both of them. Just watch for holes, cracks and weaker spots where the older one might have 'teethed' on the nipple. CONGRATS to the adding on of you family!
