According to my last period i am about 7 weeks pregnant. I had a vaginal ultrasound done and the sac measures about 6 weeks. Sac was very visible but no baby was found in it. I am very scared i have to go back in 2 weeks for a second ultrasound hoping there us a baby in the sac now. Doctor said it might just be that my dates are wrong and im less weeks and baby hasnt koved into sac yet. Has anyone been through this I am really scared

What can I do next?

I had something similar happen, at 8 weeks there was the suggestion of a "fetal pole", doctor then had me come in for HcG blood draws every other day to see if the numbers were doubling. That pregnancy never progressed. Sometimes these things happen. Personally I believe its probably for the best.

Try to relax. Stress won't help the situation.

Just wait and see.
It's hard not to worry but there's no point getting worked up.
Unless you've done IVF, pinpointing conception is always 2 weeks give or take.
So relax as much as possible and just wait and see how things unfold.

The only thing you can do is wait. Can you take a vacation? Stress just makes this harder.

Hugs~~

My OB doesn't do ultrasounds that early (or at least mine were not that early). For some reason, I remember that my first u/s with my oldest was at 8 weeks, and I think I had the u/s with my second at 10 weeks? Might have been later. He measured younger than the date I came to based on my last period. My OB said I probably ovulated later that month. It happens.

Are your periods always regular? Mine never were, so the possibility of ovulating later that month was very possible.

My guess is that it is still too early to know for sure. Try to relax (worrying isn't going to help and can actually cause undue stress). You're just going to have to wait, so do your best to take your mind off things.

Try not to be scared -- this is either a viable pregnancy or it's not. If it's not, you can get pregnant again pretty soon.

I'm so glad the fetus before my daughter wasn't viable, or I would never have had her!

Hugs. It will work out the way it was meant to be. You'll see.

There's a reason you were told to wait 2 weeks to come back. If they were certain there was an issue, they wouldn't be having you come back then to look again. Things are sometimes very difficult to determine in the very early weeks after conception.

I am always curious about early pregnancy dating. Did they simply look up your dates by the date of the start of your last period and that was it? Or was there more to it? I ask this as someone who did not have "normal" 28 day cycles. In fact, just before I got pregnant with our 2nd child, my cycles were closer to 40 days. I had one that was 42 days, if I recall correctly. That sort of changes when ovulation occurs (if counting from the first day of your last period). And they sent me over for blood-work at 5 or 6 weeks, thinking I had perhaps had a very early miscarriage when they couldn't find anything on ultrasound (despite no symptoms of miscarriage whatsoever, and the familiar nausea having already set in).

But, using a later conception date than the standard calculations put me right on track. And she just turned 14 last week.

Just try to be patient. Distract yourself with other things if you can. And go back in 2 weeks and see what's what.
Blessings to you.

With my daughter I went in at 5/6 weeks and there was just a sac, went back a week later and there was the fetal pole and tiny flicker indicating a heart beat. I'm pregnant with my second and the same thing happened. I know it's hard but try not to worry. For some reason you just can't see anything that early but the sac. There is actually something in the sac. It's just sooo tiny you can't see it until 7/8 weeks.
