my son screamed when he had ear infections. I took him to the pediatrician and it was always his ears they recommended tubes and now he is happy and not screaming as much
Hello,
My soon to be 10 months old baby screams all the time. I would like to know why and how I can help her get over this stage sooner.
Any suggestion or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.
I tried lightly blow in her face or ear tonight each time she screams. She stop and look at me. Each time she does, I would blow in her ear again. We shall find out if this will help get my point across.
Thank you all for the advice.

Hi J.,
It sounds like she may be exploring her vocal cords. I know it can be irritating, and frustrating, but try and distract her with her favorite toy when she does this. My son is doing this now, and he's two years old. He learned this from another little girl he plays with. Kids are just exploring all the things they can do, and learning that they can scream, and make a loud noise is exciting to them. Not to us of course...I can hear my son now and he's doing it...LOL Just try and redirect her attention. Best wishes,G.
Its possible that she may be teething and the screaming is in frustration and pain. Are her gums swollen?
When my son went though a "screeching" stage, (which drove me nuts) As soon as he started to screech, I would lightly blow in his face, which caused him to hold his breath, which required him to stop screeching. The screeching stage didn't last long, and he moved on to more tolerable baby noises -- On the other hand if she is sceaming becuase she is in pain or uncomfortable, try "Gripe Water" it's homeopathic, and works almost instantly. You give it as needed, (not like medicine dosing every few hours)- it comes in a 4oz bottle, costs about $10, and depending on the frequency of use, will probably last a couple weeks. Gripe water can be purchased at "the vitamen shoppe" (be sure to get the kind w/o preservatives, it should require refrideration)
Hope this helps

call his/her pediatrician's office and ask to speak with hie/her pediatrician - tell them it's driving you crazy and you want her to stop; ask if there's anything you can do. Try to avoid the nurse lines, sometimes they aren't as willing to help as the actual doc that's seen him/her since they were tiny.
