Hello everyone!

I live in Bethany, Oklahoma and am looking for a general practitioner for myself and my husband. We are both 25 and just need a doctor that would be available if the need were to arise. Our previous doctor moved about 2 years ago and we've yet to really look for another one. Right now I save up and questions I have for my gynecologist I see once a year!

For me personally, I would like a doctor that takes time to really listen and has a good bedside manner. I would also prefer a female, but an exceptional male doctor I would take into consideration.

Everyone has always been so much help before! Thanks for any advise you may have!

S., Dr. Woods at Integris is a great doctor. I used to work for the clinics doing marketing several years ago when she first started there. Her practice has taken off since then, primarily because she is such a wonderful physician who takes the time to listen to what her patients have to say. Give her a try. She's at Internal Medicine Central on the main hospital campus in the glass building by the hele-pad.

Good Luck

Hi S.,

My husband and I see Dr. Dean Spence. I can't speak highly enough of him. I also work for my father-in-law who is a doctor and that is why I chose Dr. Spence, all of his patients just love him! Super nice guy, great nurses. He is also in practice with several doctors, so if there is a day you can't see him, someone will get you in. Best of luck!

I highly recommend my doctor who works in Yukon off of Mustang road and Reno. This isn't very far from Bethany because it's on the east side of Yukon. Dr. William Welden is his name, and he's won Humanitarian of the Year (2007). He always listens to me and has helped me through some difficult times and surgeries due to complications after a C-section. The other doctor, Dr. Steve Drabek has also won numerous awards, including Humanitarian of the Year (2006), and I think he won doctor of the year for the entire state of Oklahoma last year. He has been my doctor since I was a child, but I started going to Dr. Welden several years ago because Drabek's schedule is busier, and he works at the hospital a lot. Drabek was even there for us when my grandma died. He got the pharmacy to open late on Saturday night so that he could give her some pain medicine on her death bed. He cried with us when she passed away. Anyway, I could go on and on about how much respect I have for these doctors. Also, I think a good nurse is important, and Donna Rachelle is Dr. Welden's nurse. She is truly the best nurse I've ever had, and she always has a smile on her face, even though she works extremely long hours. Before my surgery, I had to call them often with quetions, and she always called me back, even if she couldn't call until after 6:00 pm. Well, as I said before, I can continue, but I won't. The office number is ###-###-#### if you want to call them and ask about new patients. Best wishes!

I live in Yukon, OK, but my Family Medicine physician, Wade McCoy is in Bethany. He is at the Gilbert Medical Center on 23rd between Rockwell and Council. My husband, 6 year old daughter, 5 month old son and myself all go to him. I have gone to him for about 8 years now and really appreciate his mannerisms and Christian perspective.

Hope this helps!

Hi S.,

I recommend J McCall Bundy at Mercy Health-Canadian County. The phone to make an appointment is ###-###-####. This is part of the Mercy Health Network and the building is just south of I-40 on Mustang Road (probably a 5-10 minute drive from Bethany). Dr. Bundy is wonderful and really takes the time to talk with you and he has a light hearted personality. His nurses Leslie and Pam are great too. Choosing a doctor is an important decision. Good Luck!

Hi S.. We have an AMAZING family doctor at the Gilbert Medical Center on 23rd and council. We go to D.. Spence. He is wonderful. He has been my doctor since I was 10 years old and now he takes care of my husband and 1 1/2 year old daughter too! D.. Broome is really good too. We had to see him twice. Once when my husband was sick and once for a rash my daughter had and our doctor was out of town. Let me know if you have any questions about either of them! :)

Good Morning....I had the same problem as you.....looking for a good general practitioner. I found Dr. Nancy Satzler and am very happy with her. She is usually on time and will answer questions without rushing you. Her office is at Baptist Medical Center....which can be confusing but once you learn where to go and where to park, etc., she is worth the trouble. They also have free valet parking. Hope this helps......

Hi S.,
You live close to Gilbert Medical Center on NW 23. It's between Rockwell and Council on the south side of the road. I've been going there for years. They have 5 or so doctors (M.D.) there, their own lab, a physical therapist, x-ray lab, pharmacy and allergy center! I've seen a couple of the different doctors there and have liked all of them, but I normally see Dr. Brown. I like that everything is right there--the lab, x-ray room, etc. They also do bone density tests and mammograms! Even though I live farther away than you do from there, I've been going there for the last 13 years and they've always been really nice and good. My entire family goes to Dr. Brown now, but there are several good doctors there.
