Seeking Advice on Pediatrician in Norfolk Area

Hi, I take my son to General Pediatric at CHKD. He sees Doc. Moneymaker and she is a wonderful doc. My son also sees a couple of diffrent specailist there and it is nice because they all have his records on file. Good Luck!

Hi B. I go to Childrens Pediatric associates in Gramby they are the best. They have 24 hours on call service and my i add you don't have to wait more then 10 min to get a call back, their very quick they also do morning call in if your child wakes up very sick they will give you an appointment the same day. I take all 3 of my kids to Tidewater Childrens, my oldest will be turning 5 soon- Their new office is right off of Princess Anne and Newtown Rd. Their number is ###-###-####.

B. Pediatric Specialists is where I have taken my daughter to since she was born. I currently live in Suffolk but I will drive all the way to Virginia Beach for my pediatrician which is Fredric Fink I also like using Steven Stolz they are in the same office. They have three offices that the rotate from the two in Norfolk are located at 160 Kingsley Ln # 305, Norfolk, VA 23505 ###-###-#### and 885 Kempsville Rd # 200, Norfolk, VA 23502 ###-###-####. The Kempsville office is the one I use because not only do I love the doctors the nurses are wonderful very helpful and kind.

I recommend any of the CHKD's. I specifically take my daughter to the one in chesapeake and live in virginia beach. they have open office hours from 7:30-9am if your child is sick. So you don't have to wait for an appt. but you can also get in the same day usually if you're child is sick and can't make it to the morning sick hours.

Ours is called: Chesapeake Pediatrics on Volvo parkway and it's CHKD affiliated.

I take my kids to the General Pediatric Clinic at CHKD. They have free parking (they stamp your ticket) and a lot of the specialists they may refer you to are on site. It's also on the bus line if you use public transportation. Their number is ###-###-####. I've been really happy with all the doctors in the practice. They may even be able to recommend resources for you as well.

If you dont mind traveling. I take my son to Chesapeake Pediatrics. It is in the CHKD Health Center on Volvo Pkwy. They are great i love them. But it is up to you. If you havent chose a ped. Here is their number: ###-###-####

My sister and I went to this group when we were kids and now we take our children there. It is just a wonderful group of doctors! (However, I strongly recommend that you avoid Drs. Nottingham and Ballard if at all possible. We don't particularly care for either of them.) Any of the other doctors are fabulous!

I don't know how far you want to travel but I really like the Doctors at Kempsville pediatrics. They are at Kempsville and Indian River Road. My twins have been there since they were born.

My child goes to Pediatrics Specialist and sees Dr. Fink also. Previous person advised same DR. They are a wonderful Dr's office. They have great hours and are open on Saturday's for walkins. She has seen almost every Dr in that office and they are all great Dr's! The # ###-###-#### they are off of Kempsville Rd. by Sentera hospital. Dr. Kagan is my favorite, he reminds me of Santa Claus!!! lol

Dr Victor Mickunas at Pediatric Associates located at 880 Kempsville RD, suite 2600. They also have another office, I believe at 19th Street/Granby. When getting labwork done, ask for Nurse B. to do it. She did a finger prick on my toddler quite some time ago, and she didn't shed one tear. Didn't even wimper. We have seen other doctor's in the office, they are all great. But Dr. Mickunas is the one that my children prefer. I think they find him a bit amusing. He makes these bird sounds in the ears of smaller children. I like the way he cares, he's straight forward with you, and he allows the parent to speak!

i also take my 3 yr old daughter and year old son to pediatric specialists. they have offices in chesapeake, and two in norfolk, one close to you on kingsley lane and the other on kempsville and va beach blvd. we see dr. robert fink primarily and when he's unavailable or on vacation, we see dr. stolz. he's great too. good luck!

My daughter takes my grandson to Dr. Fink at DePaul Hospital on Kingsley Lane. I believe he is located in the Pediatrics office in the Atrium building on the 3rd floor (I think their number is ###-###-####)? He is wonderful as is the other doctors in his practice. My daughter has never had a problem getting the baby in quick/same day most times and always gets a call back in a timely fashion. They are also very supportive and explain everything so well during the visits. God Bless you for taking care of your grandchild. I was practically raised by my grandmother and do not know where or how I would have turned out without her. Grandparents are a vital and special part of children's lives.
