Seeking Ideas on B-day Parties

I need some ideas on birthday parties something reasonable in price. I have 2 girls will be 6 and 3 and I have their parties together. I am not one to have them at Peter Piper Pizza or Chucky Cheese (can't handle those). I have tried contacting the West Mesa Aquatic Center and they have failed to call me back. (Whole other issue that is about to make me complain to someone higher than who does the scheduling that won't call me back) I am looking to have it on a Friday because Saturdays are so busy when soccer starts. We have done them at parks and at my house, I don't think I can handle another one at my house or at a park since I have 4 kids all together and all under the age of 6. I need some other creative ideas other than the usual! Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I just had my daughters party at the bowling alley it turned out great! Even the little ones can bowl. It was cheap too that was the best part. The year before that we had it at the zoo as well. You can also call Albertson's or Smiths bakery for a cake frosting party too. Hope this helps good luck.

Hey, have you thought about doing it in gymboree (they take care of the activities) or I have heard that dance dimensions has a package for parties and they have activities for every age level.
Good luck!

Hi K.,

I am so sorry to hear about your trouble with the West Mesa Aquatic Center. I do know that they are currently booked for Pool rentals until September 2007. Rentals are reserved a month in advance on a first come first serve basis. The fee is $100 per hour, per pool (one indoor and one outdoor pool), with a 2 hour minimum. This fee includes lifeguards. (The outdoor pool is open during summer months) You do not need to rent both pools.

Birthday Parties

Party reservations are made on a first come first served basis. There is a 10 child paid minimum and an 18 child maximum. From fall to spring, parties can have more than 18 guests, but it must be approved by West Mesa management. One party per family per day.

Reservations are made by calling West Mesa at ###-###-#### ext 0. Birthday parties are scheduled for public recreation hours only. During summer hours, party guest reservations are included in capacity limits. Parties not reserved in advance are not accepted.

The price of admission for birthday parties are $1.50 per person. Please inform your guests to give the cashier your last name when they arrive so that they are not charged. If you are not paying for the other guests, they must still give us your name in order to receive the discounted admission price.

However, if you are still needing help on planning and coordinating your party, I have a great company for you: Showtime Event Planning. The email is ____@____.com and the website is www.ShowtimeEventPlanning.com and the toll free number is (888)875-2666. I have over 8 years experience in the event planning business and most of that time was spent in a very competitive market in Dallas, TX. I know that planning the perfect party for your little ones can be very stressful, especially if you are trying to stay on a budget. Let that be my worry! I provide a variety of services and personalize each aspect to your needs and desires. Give me a call! I would love to help!

The Little Gym has parties and they are very reasonable, very clean, and INSIDE! :) There's one on the NW side and NE side.

I was going to suggest bowling but someone beat me to it :) Dana's Westside Gymnastics has parties, I think that is where we are going to have our son's 6th next month. Actually I bet most gymnastic places will do parties. There is an ice cream place at Carlisle and Menual (I think!) called I Scream and they let you bring food and then the kiddos get to make their own sundae, I thought that sounded fun! The aquarium, zoo and Explora all do parties as well although I am not sure about the affordability of them. Build A Bear has parties. Also, one that I always thought looked fun for girls is Snip It's, they have dress up princess type parties where the girls get make overs and get to dress up and get their hair done. Good luck! If you come up with something great let me know as I am planning a party next month also! Our kids are about the same ages, I have one turning six next month (a boy) and then 3 1/2 year old b/g twins and a four month old baby :)
