I'm 25, my boyfriend Tim is 23, and our daughter Leah is 17 months. I work from home part time as an executive assistant to my stepdad and my boyfriend works full time as a warehouse team leader for a garage door company.
We moved to Florida from New Jersey when Leah was a month old. We lived in West Palm Beach for a year and recently relocated to Wellington. I love it here because I am closer to my mom, and also because the area of WPB we were in wasn't so great. Our new place is a duplex so we actually have a yard! We're so excited to be able to have people over- BBQ's, parties, playdates, etc.- but there's only one problem! I don't really have any friends! LOL. Tim has made some "work friends" but really there isn't anybody that he seems to think would be interested in doing the "couple double date thing" or whose girlfriend or wife would be interested in making friends with me.
Leah really would love to have a playmate, and I would love someone to talk to, go shopping with, and hang out with our kids together. It would also be great to have another couple to occasionally go out with and do "adult" things like go get a drink or go to the Improv. I'm also a really huge Cheesecake Factory fan.
During the day, I work for about an hour and the rest of the day is mine. Leah still naps, but she's flexibile with her schedule if we are out and about. We love to go to the mall, to Target, to Walmart, and the park (when it's not too hot). Leah also really enjoyed the zoo the 2 times we took her. We are looking into swimming classes at the community center (she loves the water) and will also probably do a "My Gym" type of class- but I'm so afraid of it being "cliquey." I'd love some suggestions, some new friends, or both!
HI K.. My name is T., I am 27 and a mother of two girls. I have a 10 month old little girl and a 9yo. I work occasionally during the week if I am needed to sub. but mainly I work from home for myself. We live in Palm Springs which isn't very far from Wellington. My husband works odd hours so he isn't home very much. I take Hailie to the park and we usually just walk around the neighborhood. There are not any lil ones her age so it's mainly just me and her. I would like to have someone for her to play with and have someone to hang out with and have an actually conversation where i am not answering myself....lol! Please give me a call sometime. Talk to you soon. ###-###-####

Hi K., I'm Jackie. I am a 25 year old mother of 2 boys, Grayson (21 months) and Jackson (5 1/2 months). I am a stay at home mom as well. My husband David, is 27 and works at CVS as a store manager. I am a lot like you where I don't have too many friends that have small children or just couples to hang out with. We live in Lake Worth off of Hypoluxo. We should help each other out and make a new friend. :) You can email me at ____@____.com so we can chat more and maybe make plans to do a play date! Take care!

Many of the public libraries have infant/toddler story times. I am currently going to the Greenacres library on Mondays from 10-10:45 am. I understand that the Wellington library is under construction, however they may be holding storytime at a nearby community center??? Check out the library website for details
http://www.pbclibrary.org/kidsstorytime.htm At least it's another place to meet up with some Mom's and it's free!
Good luck and happy reading with your child.
