I'm wondering if anyone knows of a store that sells nursing bras for larger breasted woman. I'd like a place that will fit you too. I live in South Jersey, but I will drive.

What can I do next?

If you're open to shopping online at all, www.Figleaves.com and www.BareNecessities.com have GREAT selections!!!

I'm a D-cup, so I understand how hard it is to find nice, supportive bras--let alone ones that don't look like something a granny would wear!

I've never tried them, but I've heard rave reviews about Bravado bras too! My personal fave is Elle MacPherson (or McPherson?). AWESOME bras! Gorgeous & supportive--they just run a tad small & don't come past around a 38 or 42 D.

Stay away from Motherhood! Their bras suck, imo!

Oh! Another good place to look is www.Motherwear.com & www.gap.com/maternity

Good luck!

K.,

I love this place. My first nursing bar was a size K.
I lived in Ohio and bought online and now live in PA and still use them for daily wear. The organic is nice.

I would say not to get the velcro one because of the noise and I didnt like the way the velcro wore but that was 10 years ago. I just lifted the one side up.

Good luck!

It is kind of far for you but the Breastfeeding Resource Center in Glenside is awesome! They will recommend bras and you can try them on and they can tell you if they fit right. Glenside is in the NW suburbs of Philly. If you can't find anywhere else - this place would be worth the drive. It is not a normal retail store - they do all sorts of breastfeeding stuff.

Hi K.,
There is a shop in Doylestown and the woman who owns it is very helpful. It's in the center of town and it's called Sweet Blossoms. Good Luck!

Congrats on your new baby! I operate a nursing clothing boutique with a great selection of bras, but I am not near you. You can try ordering online. Your post got posted to the Pittsburgh, PA version of Mamasource, so you might want to repost and make sure it shows up in the New Jersey edition too. Good luck!

The only place I was able to get a compfortable nursing bra was from the hospital. The lactation consultants are very nice, and can fit you to the size you need.

Hi K.,
I know your struggle, I wear a 34-I and it was very difficult to find a nursing bra. I first tried a Bravado, recommended by a nursing supply owner - I was really unhappy with it, it secured with snaps, which were very difficult to close one-handed and were loud. Also, it wasn't comfortable. I ended up trying a Medela bra that I found at JCPenneys online (www.jcp.com). The largest cup they have is an "H," but with the nursing flaps, it gives just enough. I liked it so much I bought 2 more. It gives great support for a nursing bra and is comfortable. Also, it's easy to open and close one-handed, definitely a plus. JCPenneys has a great return policy, so it's worth trying one of theirs (they have other options). Medela worked for me. Good luck!

In Abington Hospital, they have the biggest selection at the breastfeeding support services. Margaret the woman that takes care of everything is wonderful to deal with. If they don't have your size, they can order for you and she will even ship you bras (I believe it is no charge but don't quote me). It is a bit of a trip but well worth it. The number is ###-###-####. I need big sizes too and could not find what I needed at the breastfeeding resource center which someone else had mentioned even though they are very nice to deal with. They did not have anywhere near as large a selection as Abington Hospital. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. good luck
