My LO is only 6 months old, but in that short of time, I've really let myself go! Well, I'll admit, my looks haven't been a priority in a while, but I think it's gotten out of hand now as I try to keep up with him. I'm looking for a stylist that can help me find the perfect cut and color for my face shape, skin tone, lifestyle, etc. I'm not interested in someone that can just give a great cut/style, but someone that can actually tell me what I should do. I think I've always gone in and said what I want, but never seem happy and maybe it's because I'm picking a look that is wrong for me. I need an expert in makeovers! If they can help with makeup and other things, too (kind of like "What Not To Wear"), that would be great, but I really need to tame this wild hair first. It can be a consultant, or the actual stylist(s) that will do the work. I'm open to lots of suggestions!

D., I really understand how you feel... my recommendation is to go to Salon Bliss, right on 119th and Quivira. http://www.salonbliss.com/
I personally go to a girl named Pheonix... HANDS DOWN incredible! Such great energy and really loves her job. She books up FAST... so I would call them today.
She is up to date on all the latest styles and truly I walk away each time with a totally fresh new look. I dont feel like the frumpy mom anymore... I feel sassy and sexy.
Please call her, you wont be sorry!

I am SUPER picky about who I will let touch my hair and was only getting it cut and colored when I went home to Chicago cause I LOVE my stylist there. But with a little one I don't make it there as often as I'd like so a friend suggested that I try her stylist, so after a whole lot of resistance, I finally did. Cheryl is great and she just opened her own salon in Wesport in the cutest little converted house. She is very patient and isn't afraid to tell you what will and will not work for you. She is a very hip single mom that has been doing hair for more than 20 years, but she stays up on current trends and knows what she is doing.

I don't know a hair gal (wish I did), but when you are ready for a new make-up look I can help. I'm a Mary Kay Beauty consultant and I specialize in personal color consultations - the exact colors for your face, eye color, hair color etc. I'd love to help you find the right look that's fast and easy enough with your little one, but still makes you feel like a woman! Give me a call @ ###-###-#### or go to my website for a virtual makeover: www.marykay.com/kristik. Hope to meet you soon!

8613 COLLEGE BLVD. - OVERLAND PARK, KS. I admit I am over due to see her, anyway... I had the same hair style for several years. She was able to tell me what would work with my face and body style. I was a little hesitant just because it was a big change from long hair to short hair, but I trusted her and we went for it. I have not regretted it, or anthing else she has suggested such as highlights, and different ways to fix my hair. Good Luck.
(The salon has changed names, but the new name never stuck with me so don't be suprised of they receptionist answers with another business name)

I've been going to Missy for years and Kelley Blond has also cut my hair. They are great and I never have to tell Missy what I want...she just know what to do with my hair. If you have curly hair, Missy is an expert with it! Missy tends to serve the younger, hipper crowd and Kelley seems to have a lot of mommies as clients.
