My daughter is 3, and just started preschool 2 days a week at The Gingerbread House. She loves it, and it is located at 156th and Center. It's not too far from you, and they have morning and afternoon classes. I found out about it by asking around for preschools that other people recommended. It's a pretty popular place, so you would have to call to find out availability/openings. They get to cook a snack, have free play, art, music, and concept time. They also rotate through different rooms each day, so they aren't stuck in the same room for hours at a time. My daughter always asks if it's a day that she gets to go to school...I guess that's a good sign! Everyone that I know who has/had a child that goes/went there seems really happy with it. Welcome to Omaha. We love it here!

Welcome to Omaha. I live around the 135th and Harrison area. I found out when my son started Kindergarten that the Millard schools had 1/2 day preschool at the elementary schools. I wish I would have known that before. You can look on their website to see if the school over by you offers it. HOpe that helps.

Welcome to Omaha!! My kids go to Imagination Station on 180th and Pacific, and we LOVE the school! The director and teachers are all great...my kids also ask to go to school almost every day. They just expanded their program this year, so there may still be openings. They have a two day, three day or five day program (half days). Good luck!

Hello A.. I used to work at a fabulous child development center called Hamilton Heights. They are located off of 156th and Maple. You can visit there website at http://www.hamiltonheightscdc.com/. I used to be one of the assistant preschool teachers there. They have a fabulous program. Let me know if you have any questions regarding their curriculum.

Also, didn't know if you were looking for some Pediatricians
Children's Physicans in Mission Village are good.

Also, just a few helpful sites:
1) www.newcomersclub.com under Ne you will find New friends of Omaha
2) www.parentzone.babyzone.com This site is very helpful. No matter which State you are in they help with finding play groups for kids. They also have a dad's club and other resources. I would suggest to register.

Again, welcome to Omaha. Let me know if this info was helpful.
Take care,
