I have had 2 Shark Steam mops now. I love using them and they really get the job done. The instructions call for water only. With the steam, you shouldn't need anything else.
Does anyone know if you can put diluted floor cleaner in with the water?

NO...........only water!
No, no, no chemicals. That defeats the purpose of having the steam mop!
I have heard of some people adding a natural, water based fragrance to the water to give it that "clean" smell. If that is your goal with the cleaner thought I'd offer as a suggestion. However, you would need to check carefully the label of the fragrance to be sure it won't harm you floor, etc. I just use water in mine.
Best.

I believe you could only dilute if you are using a concentrated product...
However, I want to ask you what you thought about that steam mop? I have considered since our last one broke (also a steam mop) but the price seemed pretty steep with the risk it would break also...
What do you think about it??
Thanks!

Just water. The steam will do a much better job then any cleaner would be able to do. Also, the fumes from the cleaner might be worse if heated.

I use just a few drops of Shaklee's Basic H and G in mine. That way I know the floor is clean and disinfected.

Why would you want to? The steam is a disinfectant... its all you need to clean your home.
