Samuel... very awesome, masculine name. Samuel Timothy. I love biblical names. My sons are Josh and Sam.
we really need help! this will be our 4th boy (other kids are named Benjamin, Isaac & Joshua), and we're having a very confusing time deciding on a name. Here are our ideas, please give any input, including totally different ideas based on what you see here.....:)
we like Jonathan as a first name and these possible middle names: Aaron, Patrick, Asher, Andrew, Nicholas, Avery, Lucas, David, Micah, Gabriel, Simon, & Joel.
we also like:
Joel Jonathan
Aaron Nicholas
Aaron Julian
help!!
Samuel... very awesome, masculine name. Samuel Timothy. I love biblical names. My sons are Josh and Sam.
Hi, I have 3 boys myself and we had the same problem. SO, we have a Timothy David, a Matthew Jude and a Michael Gabriel. I hope this gives you some ideas. I also liked the names Titus and Jeremiah. Good luck and congrats!!
If my baby would have been a boy, his first name would have been Asher. Love that name!! Good luck :)
Jonathan Andrew sounds good. I like a previous post for John Robert. Our son is Johnathon Robert after both grandpas. Congratulations!
I was going to suggest Jacob Asher and then I read Karen N's post about you already having a son with a "J' name and the old Testament thing. That being said I have always loved Gabriel, but I somehow think Caleb goes with the flow of your other boys names.Caleb sounds nice with Aaron or Andrew. Good luck and congratulations on your fourth son!! I have 2 little men, Everett James and Ellis Earle and wish I had more :)
Of the options you gave, I like Lucas or David as the middle name. My son is Michael Andrew but I also really like Matthew James or Matthew Charles.
My son's names are Matthew, Ryan and David, so of course I like David. I also like Andrew and Lucas.
I wouldnt end both names in the same sound, the "n". That makes it awkward. What sealed the deal on our daughter's name was yelling it a few times like she was bad, which is mostly the only time you use all of their names. Originally, it was going to be Nora Rose, but when we yelled it, it all ran together and I hated how it sounded, so she ended up at the last minute becoming Nora Genevieve. (we also wanted a saint's name, so that worked out pretty good).
Personally, I like Jonathan Avery.
Since you like biblical names, I would go with Gabriel (I love that name) or Calib (or is it Kalib?). If the first name is definately going to be Jonathan, I like Jonathan Gabriel. I have 3 boys and if I ever had a fourth, I would name him Adrian or Kellen. But I also love the name Gabriel. What about Gabriel Jonathan?
Jonathan Patrick is a good strong name - love it!
Well you do know that in the long run it is totally your call on this whether we think it's a nice name or not. I would not get advice on my child's name. It is very personal to me and we have named all of our children carefully and with great significance, such as family names of members who meant alot, or spiritual names.
Jonathan David sounds really strong. I don't like the name Aaron. Reminds me of country singers or something Southern.... oh I am from the South so don't get me wrong on that one. hehe.....
Jonathan Patrick sounds really nice as well. Has the Patrick Swayze rebel middle name.
Good Luck and congrats.
wait till your little boy is in your arms and it will come to you.................
I would nix Joel & Jonathan as first names since you already have a son with a J name.
Your other sons have first Testament names. Not sure if you wanted to keep everyone in the same "flow"...? I like these, although they're not all on your list:
Simon James
Caleb Andrew
Gabriel Ezra
Good luck!
I like Samuel, either as the middle name, or a first name, since the other 3 are strong traditional biblical-type names. I like Jonathon Avery and Jonathon Lucas too.
Any male family members whose names you may want to use or have special meaning for you?
Asher is a nice name. I don't really care for the other names though.
I like Jonathon Avery or Jonathon Gabriel the best of your choices.
Zachary or Timothy are great names...goes with the others, too.
I like Jonathan Asher. I think it is nice to have a unique middle name for a boy. Congratulations!
I love Aaron David because that is my son's name and I like traditional sounding names.
I think Jonathan Lucas has a nice ring to it. I also like Aaron Nicholas.
Good Luck!!!
Jonathan Avery has a nice sound to it
Congratulations! I vote for Jonathan Patrick. It's such a strong and classic sounding name.
I like Aaron Nicholas.
Btw: Congrats on the 4th boy! I have one, and it is hard to imagine how you handle 3, let alone 4 :-) Kudos to you!
I love these names, Brogan, Gavin. Have a peaceful wonderful delivery!!!!!!!!!
I like Aaron Nicholas.
I love the name Asher! I think you should work that in no matter what you decide. Congrats!
I like Jonathan with: Patrick, Lucas, David, Gabriel, and Joel.
I like Joel better than Jonathan! And I still like Aaron Julian :)
I like Jonathan. Simon or Avery for the middle name
Congrats on your new baby!!! Wait until you hold the baby and see what the baby looks like. Try out a few of the names you like while you hold him. Something will just fit.
I am not crazy about Jonathan. It sounds too common compared to your other sons names. I also do not like names that are not gender specific sounding so Aaron doesn't suit me. I love Lucas because that's my sons name and I know it's becoming popular but I really don't hear it at school or other places. I also like Gabriel & Samuel as someone mentioned and I like combining Lucas Samuel or Lucas Gabriel. I know it's not on your list but if I had another boy I would lean towards Nathaniel/Nathan. Good Luck!

I like Jonathan David. That's my cousin's name. :) I don't like Joel Jonathan or Aaron Julian. Nicholas Aaron (reverse from what you put) would be cute.
But my first vote is for Jon David.
Look up the meanings of each name. That will help a great deal with deciding which name you like best.
We were exactly the same. Our son's name is Jonathan Rue. I think Aaron Nicholas sounds great. Also Jonathan Asher.
the first name that popped into my head was john then I seen your johnathan.
my preferance is john robert cause that was my grandpas name.
if you go with johnathan myvote is johnathan andrew.
johnathan lucas would be next.the others dont flow well. jmo
joel johnathan, and aaron nicholas in my opinion dont flow well either. I dont care for julian personally but its your kid not mine so if you like it go with it. I didnt name mine till after he was born. and we knew what the first name was going to be but had a hard time deciding on a middle that flowed well with the first one. I kinda settled on the middle cause I couldnt think of anything better. :) I let daddy pick the middle didnt like the flow to it but couldnt come up with anything better and daddy and aunt liked it so I said ok.
I like the name Joel but not with Jonathan (aka JJ) all the Aaron combos are nice. Jonathan is ok but the nickname is Jon, kinda boring. Of all the other names Andrew, Nicholas and Simon I like the best. Lucas is very popular right now, Asher sounds like Dasher (the reindeer), Avery I think of as a girls name and the rest I don't like. You have so many nice ones to pick from though!!
