The Harcome Diet does an excellent job of getting you past a sugar dependency, as well as explaining what is happening in your body.

I haven't read any sugar detox books. I've heard that some of the following are good. I actually just gradually weaned sugar (mostly - not all the way, I don't believe in cutting something COMPLETELY out of my diet) out of my diet. I just try to buy cleaner foods - more organic - things with 4 or less ingredients and as far as sugar - things with 4 grams or less per serving. I also started drinking Shakeology - I find my cravings are much less for the sugary things.

This new program is an easy way to learn portion control too - not sure what your goals are (however I heard they're sold out except for challenge packs). You can always message me if you want to chat more ;-) Hope I helped a tad. http://www.teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping/21DayFix?ref...

I'd ask the same thing. What is your goal? If it's just to eliminate so much sugar I'd say just don't replace it with something else. Artificial sweetener is poison for your body. Time and time again we've seen "This product is safe and sweet!!! Eat it!!!" Then later on found it caused cancer or something serious.

Side effects of not using naturally grown things is so serious. I don't do organic or healthy anything but we use real butter, real eggs, real milk, real sugar, and real oil for cooking.

We eat real food and life is good. Eating any food in abundance is bad.

G.-

what are your objectives? are you looking to change your palate, give your liver a break? drop some weight? eat more "cleanly"? that will help with the recommendations.

Best,
