What are the usual symptoms of morning sickness? Is it usually just vomiting and nausea? I never had morning sickness with my first child(I know I was very lucky), so I'm just curious...

What can I do next?

I had morning sickness with all 3 of my pregnancies. In addition to morning sickness I also had excess saliva and sinus drainage that increased my nausea, vomiting, and also made me gaggy. I would drool excessively in my sleep having to turn my pillow 4-5 times a night just to sleep on a dry spot. Once I made the connection to the excess saliva (I read about it in several pregnancy books), I began carrying a bottle to spit in. Not very glamourous I know, but it did help decrease my morning sickness (which in reality lasted all day). My morning sickness was usually over by 16 weeks, but the saliva thing lasted the entire pregnancy. I was so relieved when I met or heard of others who had the same thing. I am hoping (as are my family & friends) to retire my spit bottle for good in about 4 more weeks!

I had pregnancy sickness for my entire pregnancy last time. It was basically just nausea from wake to sleep with occasional vomitting depending how bad the nausea got.

If it gets bad you can ask your OB for phenergan, this stuff helped me a lot but the drawback was it made me very tired.

I had BAD morning sickness with both pregnancies. I felt a little dizzy, nauseated, just a queazy feeling in my tummy. I didnt' feel like eating at first. It was like my tummy was doing flip flops and nothing sounded appealing.

I started feeling sick to my stomach around 6 weeks (lasted until 18 weeks) but before that I was really tired and my sense of smell was crazy! During my second trimester I got terrible headaches but it only lasted a month or so.

I had queasiness more with my first pregnancy. It would only be in the early evening and only when I needed to eat. In the beginning, and throughout, you need to eat more frequently and I wasn't used to it. So instead of my body feeling hungry I would feel queasiness. When I ate every couple of hours it helped.

With my current pregnancy I had that but also nausea. I actually vomited this time. It was more of a nausea then a queasiness/upset stomach. So it can vary for each person and with each pregnancy.
