St. Louis is fantastic, too. Grant's Farm, the zoo, the science center, the arch, Union Station, TONS to do for kids of all ages to enjoy.

We go to Branson once a year for a week, but have been just for weekends too. There are a ton of things to do. Shows to see, places to play, and even an in door waterpark. Check out the Branson website for things to do. It is a blast for everyone in the family.
St. Louis is great too. Much to do there too, the zoo is great especially in the spring early summer and there is a wonderful children's museum that is a blast. Same thing, check out their website.
Good luck and God Bless.
I am sure you have gotten several suggestions and maybe even mine, but here it goes.
We love going to Branson and with kids is fun too. But I realize this is for you and hubby. They have fun shows and reasonably priced accommodations. There is also Arkansas which has its own history and fun things to do. I am not sure what you are in to. But I know that if you go to Branson, you won't be dissappointed. They have this place called 'The Landing' and you can go watch concerts once in awhile. They also have a Bass Pro Shop there. And the water show which is free. They have lights, music, and water going up like a fountain. It is really neat and could be romantic( of course this is at night). They have the show during the day but at night you can see the lights. They also have restaurants that are good to eat at. A trolley car that takes you around as well. My best to you and God bless you....K.
LOVE going down to Big Cedar in Branson, MO. rent a boat and take in beautiful Table Rock Lake. Big Cedar is affiliated w/ Bass Pro shops so everything there is very outdoorsy like. They have cabins to rent or you could stay in a lodge w/ the view of the lake. Check out their website, www.bigcedar.com
We love to go to Branson. There is so much to do! And on the way you can stop in Springfield and eat at Lamberts, home of the throwed roll! We look forward every year to eating there. :-)
we love Branson for the weekend
Have you already done "the St. Louis thing"??? The zoo there is AWESOME!!! and it's free (except for parking) The Spaghetti Factory was fantastic. We stayed at the Millinium Hotel (sp?) directly next to the arch...beautiful pics. There is a riverboat dinner cruise you could take...Hope this helps!
