When my daughter was that age (and even now, really) I just left the bites alone. Like you said, they don't really bother the baby. I think we want to treat them because when we get bitten, the bites bother us so much!!
is there anything you can do for babies under 6 months when it comes to mosquito bites? do you just leave it alone and it'll go away like an adult? my son has one square on his face, then another on his leg. it doesn't seem to bother him at all, but just wanted to know if there was something I was supposed to do.

i would just leave it alone..
it doesn't bother infants like it bothers adults( i mean it doesn't itch )
i personally would do nothing i have a 3 week old and i have that issue!!
it you want to protect them Ecalyptus oil works well its natural and safe
good luck
I know that someone recommended Benadryl cream - but PLEASE don't use Benadryl cream on kids. It actually causes seizures in children so it is NOT safe for little ones. My doctor recommends pure alos vera for bites. If they are really bothering him then give him oral benadryl, but if not it will go away on its own.
I put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and just rub it on the spot.
If you catch the bite early you can make a paste out of baking soda and cold water. Just put a little baking soda on a cold wet washcloth and hold it on the bite. It draws the venom out and keeps the bite from swelling and itching. My twin 4 year old daughters and myself are both sensitive to insect bites and even a little mesquito or ant will make a huge welp. This method works great for all sorts of insect bites and it is all natural.
You can also buy cintranella spray at Wells Brothers. Natural mesquito repellent. I have one daughter that is autistic so I try to stay away from chemicals. I still use the cintranella on the whole family. I put it on their clothes and socks and a dab on the top of their heads.
You can use Avon's Skin So Soft Original Lotion to repel mosquitos at that age.
I know this sounds silly, but rub Diaper rash cream on it. I prefer to use A&D Ointment, the one that has blue writting on it. I have found it to work best. Bites are almost gone in one day of use. Just rub the cream directly on the bite.
You can give them a dose of benadryl and use the benadryl cream to dab on them to reduce any swelling or itching. 1/4 teaspoon of benadryl is a good dose for that age.
