Hi,

We live in Haslet and this weekend we decided to take our 22 month old out to feed ducks. We went to a marina on Eagle Mtn Lake but there were no ducks. We also went to the ponds out in front of Cabela's, no ducks either. Are there some parks around that I'm just not aware of that have ponds with duck?

Sincerely,
P.

What can I do next?

There is a park off Glenview Dr. in NRH that has pathways for strollers, a pond with ducks, 2 playgrounds, water fountains and restroom. We go there quite a bit to feed the ducks. Sometimes there is only one but other days there had been arounf 5 or so. They walk around the park grounds and then come back to the water. Its called Linda Spurlock Park and its right at a light. Its fairly close to Rufe Snow. Im horrible with directions but you can exit Denton Hwy and left (if your are on the hwy in the direction going to Eagle Mt Lake/Saginaw area. GO up to the light at Glenvies and follow that road around and its at the light. Also last yr we went to the Japaneese Gardens and there are ducks and also tons of huge carfish to feed. THey have dispensers that are .25 for fish food there too. Good Luck and have tons of fun!

Bear Creek Park in Keller
Bedford Boys Ranch in Bedford
Chisolm Park in Hurst
These are all great places to feed the ducks. They all have walking trails for strollers and alot of ducks and geese who love to eat bread and popped popcorn. They all have good playgrounds as well. Have Fun!!!

Bear Creek Park in Keller off 377/Bear Creek Pk
is my favorite! We took our DD's this past Saturday . The ducks and Geese walk right up to you for food. There are benches and trails for strollers and a park and lots of shade too.
They also have Turtles sunbathing everywhere and we happen to see a beaver cross the creek up close- Check it out!

The duck pond near downtown Fort Worth is perfect, too. Not to mention very pretty this time of year, its just on the outskirts of Trinty Park. Right off of 7th Street just after you cross the river going west (if you get to the Montgomery Wards Plaza you've gone too far). There are hundreds of ducks there. Our toddler loved the botanic gardens too, which are just up University from the pond. Have fun!

I know of two locations in Flower Mound if you want to drive this way. Let me know if you are interested and I'll tell you how to get to them.
