By Desert Breeze Park there is a really cute little hummingbird area, by the street where you go to the train on the west side. Anyway, they also have a little lake. If you are not only wanting pictures in Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, there is Sedona, Grand Canyon, Havasu Falls, Lots of Canyons in Arizona.
Happy location hunting, enjoy the views,
K.
As a photographer myself, I love sahauro ranch park, goldfield mine, desert lots, parks, the zoo,dc ranch,up north in Prescott, and of course my own studio! Drive around and just find a spot! Good luck and have fun!
My senior pics were done in the Lakeview area of Tempe near Rural and Baseline. There is a pond, lots of mature trees, etc that made a nice background. I would suggest driving around in that area to check it out. (It's been awhile-okay, a long while- since my senior year.) I would think any park could work, too. Freestone is beautiful. (Lindsey and Guadalupe.)
Good luck!
2 of my friends had their pic's taken at DC Ranch Marketplace by high-end photographers. Very modern/industrial within the stores and desert and greenery around the parks. Everything a photographer can want. Check out karamayphotography.com, go to blogs, and then scroll down to rock & roll phx desert. all done at DC Ranch Marketplace.
We had our wedding pictures taken at the Botanic Gardens and the pictures came out great. I've also seen people go to the UNM duck pond area.
Freestone Park at Lindey and Warner has a bunch of different angles that you can get desert, rocks, trees, waterfall, grass, bridge, traintracks, pond, playground, all different kinds.
All you have to do is look around you, wherever you are there are always some sort of photo opportunity. You don't always have to do landscapes or whatever. You can do a closeup of something and turn it into art.
You don't say what kind of photography you do, though. If you're looking for backdrops for portrait or what. I know this is the other side of the Valley for you, but what about the White Tanks?
Good luck with your new business.
I don't know where you live, but if you live in Casa Grande, Villago Park near Pinal/Val Vista has a beautiful water fountain, bridge, pond, geese, ducks and green grass. Theres usually not many (if any) other people around either which makes it nice and private for pics. Good luck Mama!
