Which Floor Steamer/cleaner to Buy

We have wood floors and ceramic tiles throughout our house. I'm looking for suggestions for a heavy duty steam machine that preferably does not require a cleaner or detergent in the water, such as the Bissell steam mop hard floor cleaner. I need something that's easy to use, has a strong handle, and provides great results.

I use the Shark Steam Mop and absolutely love it. All you need is water. It is safe to use on all types of floors.

I would highly recommend the shark. It is ultra portable, cleans great and doesn't require chemicals. I also have hardwood and tile flooring.

I recommend the shark steam mop or pocket, they both work great with just water..and it sterilizes. I've had mine for over 2yrs with no issues.

I have the haan and love it, I have done research and this one at the time 1 year ago came in the best. It is light weight and very easy to use. You will be surprised at how clean your floors come. The only thing that I wished it did better was I tried to steam clean my couch (I have a 3yr and 2 months) it did not work as well as I had hoped.

I bought the H20 mop and it died after just 3 months, now I have the shark and so far so good. I love the way it cleans my laminate floors and dries quickly too.

Hi R.,

My husband just "had to have" the Shark steam mop and he swears by it. It definitely picks up a ton more dirt than the regular swiffer wet jets or swiffer cloths. Great thing is, it only needs water. We love it and we see a big difference in our girls socks, before they would become disgustingly filthy but now they stay relatively clean! :) We got ours at Target. Good luck.

The Eureka Steam cleaner is the best kept secret and is ideal for ceramic floors. It may be able to be used on wooden floors, but I would be worried about that. However, even if you only had one room with a ceramic floor, it is worth having for it. I use it regularly in my kitchen and bathrooms and it is the simplest and best tool. I can honestly say that I have used this many times while dressed for a formal occasion and done the floor just before leaving the house. One does not touch any dirt and your sink remains clean. You simply put distilled water into your machine and place a clean pad (washable cotton) under the machine and turn it on. It is the most environmentally friendly floor cleaner. If you place the pad on a spot for 8 seconds, it is sterilized. There are no chemicals and your hands stay clean.

I would suggest the new shark steamer it is double sided so you can clean a larger area with out having to change the cloth. It is the shark steam pocket mop whcih I am referring to it also has two heads a rectangular one for open floor spaces and a triangular one for corners. It can be bought in target stores or online and retails for 119.00 online you can buy two more pads for 19.99 for the both
