I have 2 girls...ages 3 years old and 9 months. BOTH of them look soooooo much like Daddy! Everyone says so! (It gets a little annoying! I made them, after all.) LOL.
I hear lots of stories of baby girls looking like their daddys. people tell me i look exactly like my dad. i was wondering is it usually true? do baby girls usually look like their daddys?? im 23w 2days with my first daughter. i'm the first daughter of my moms three girls that is actually having a girl. my sisters all have boys.

This is true for me
My daughter will be 7months old later this month. We did the 3D/4D ultrasound looking at the pics from the 3D/4D she look all over me. When I delivered her.. She looked all over her daddy!!!! and still does. They are my twins.
I have dark skin(African American mix) her father is fair skinned (Filipino) She ONLY looks Filipino
But I hear over time they will start to look like us.. we just have to wait awhile
My son, adopted, looks like his birthdad. My daughter, bio, looks exactly like my husband, who looks exactly like his Mom. I look like my Mom and my sister looks like my Dad.
I don't think there's any hard and fast rule about this. I think its based on whomever has the dominant genes. My daughter looks nothing like anyone in either my or her dad's family although people say she and I look alike. My son, on the other hand, looked exactly like his paternal grandma when he was younger and now has my nose and looks more like me than anyone else. Amongst my siblings, all 3 of us look very much like my dad, nothing like our mom (though I do have her legs).
The baby will have traits that will be from both of you. Usually the first child tends to follow the father's line. I look like my dad and his side of the family, but I got a lot of my mother's side of the families traits too. I have an outgoing personality and clear skin, this was definitely not from my dad's side. Whatever your daughter looks like, she is made from both of you! Just know she gets all the good parts!
Hello, I have four adult kids. One girl and one boy look like me and my family, the other daughter and son look like their dad and his family. I never really thought that much about it. Interesting.
Good luck with your precious little baby.

I have two girls, one looks like my husband, one looks like me, so you just never know.
My 5 yr old looks alot like her dad. I can barely see any resembelance of me in her. Everyone says she looks like her dad. I hope when she gets older she looks a little like me :(
I don't think there is any real truth to that! But it does remind me: While I was pregnant, besides praying for a healthy baby, I prayed that my son would have my husband's beautiful blue eyes. Well...when he was born he looked exactly like my husband (and still does) but he has my green eyes!!! Well...atleast he got something from me!!!LOL
I look like my mom-my son totally looks like his daddy!
My daughter looks a lot like both of us.
I look like my dad... and my DD looks like HER dad...
I have 3 girls, they are a combination of both of us and each of them look different.
I don't think that is something that you can generalize. My son looked a LOT like my husband at birth. Of course, now he looks more blended, or depending on what face he is making he looks more like one or the other of us. Our daughter has always looked more like me. Actually, she looks a LOT like my niece (my brother's oldest daughter) who, as a young child looked like MY baby/young child pictures. Everyone thought she was mine. And sometimes my daughter will have an expression that just SCREAMS that she is the twin of my niece.
It just all depends. You'll just have to wait and see. Sometimes, some features are more prominent at birth and others will come to the fore as they mature. :)
Nope. We have 2 girls. The first one looks like herself (she picked up more of the distant relatives features) and the second one looks just like mommy. This is very unusual, because I am Caucasian and my husband is Chinese. My second daughter, other than her dark, dark eyes, which are very big and round, does not look asian at all.
sounds like an old wives tale. My first son looks just like me...just darker (my husband is Mexican). My second son looks just like my husband...just white! (like me) I am currently prego with #3, a girl, and am excited to see what she will look like....

Absolutely false! My daughter looks 100% like me and always has, same with my Step-Daughter, she's always looked like her mom.
Not my daughter...she is a mini me.. Looks nothing like her Dad. He has dark hair, brown eyes, and olive skin and she is blonde, blue eyes and fair as can be.
My danught was the spitting immage of her father when he was a baby. My MIL Send us some baby pic of my hubby when he was 6 months old and she looks just liek him...in meen JUST like him. She grew out of it...she is 2 now and (in my oppion and I know lots of mother would not agree with me, as well they shoul) the most beautifull lovley thing that ever walked the face of the earth.
Babies are biologically programmed to look more like their fathers in the first year of life because before the days of DNA testing there was no real way for a father to know conclusively that a child was his but if the baby looked like him then there was a higher likelihood that he would care for him/her. As they get older, babies' looks change and you just never know what you will get. My first niece is the spitting image of me as is my first daughter and I look like my mom. My second daughter looks like a combo between my husband and myself. My second niece looks just like my sister who shares features with my dad.
I don't know if it's true or not, but I look just like my dad. My daughter is too young to tell just yet, but my son looks exactly like his father, while my brother looks just like our mother, so I'm not sure there is any pattern.
my daughters are a perfect mix, my youngest favors my husband a little more than my first daughter, but only because of the eyes.
I think that it's all just relative. One thing I've noticed with our daughter is that her face is constantly changing. When she was first born I swear she looked like the youger twin of my mother-in-law. Then everyone was saying she looked like me, but I think that was just because she has the same hair color. Then she looked like my husband, then like neither of us. It really depends on who's doing the comparing. Some tell us she looks like her daddy, some say she looks like me. People see the similarities they want to see.
It's all luck of the draw. My first daughter looks like my hubby, my second daughter looks like me.
My oldest has features & eyes alot like my hubby, but with my lighter skin & lighter hair. However, my youngest looks exactly like me!
I was a very strong combination of both my parents. No matter which one I was with, people would always comment "you look just like your ....". I have a daughter and she looks exactly like me, people call her my "mini me". Although she acts, thinks and has her father's humor. Her personality is totally him, but her looks are mine.
My youngest looks totally like me. My older kids actually look more like my side of the family, though not like me. They do have some features that come from him like the way their thumbs arwe or toe nails, or eye brows etc. 4 kids, each has a different shade of brown hair and different shade of brown eyes from a golden brown to deep, reddish like him. My youngest has the lightest hair and her eyes are like chocolate. I am dark blond, blue eyes.
It's totally a matter of where the genes fall.
My son looks exactly like me (1st born). My daughter does look more like my husband, although she looks like people from both sides of the family... good luck!
We have two girls, one looks more like me and the other more like my husband.
Everyone says my daughter looks just like me :) My other 2 are boys. One looks morelike me and the other looks more like my husband. All 3 got my blonde hair instead of my husband's brown hair. They're different shades of blonde though. Both my husband and I have blue eyes so that's something they got from both of us ;)
Oops..hit return on accident..
I look far more like my mom than my dad as well.
