MDO Has New Policies

I just want to know if this is normal? My 2 year old daughter started going to MDO in January and she loved it! She has been asking when she will go back. They sent out the welcome letters saying when school starts and other basic information. The letter also said that the teacher would call to set up a home visit. This is what I think is odd. Since when do teachers of any kind want to come to your home to meet your child? Isn't that what meet the teacher night is for? 2 Qs...Bouncers And Teddy Bears.

SOOOO.... 2 questions... 1~ My DD is 3 months old. Is this too young to get her a bouncer? I want to get one of those activity bouncers...She can sit on her own (she needs help getting there... but once she's sitting she is good.) and has excellent head control... She also loves to "stand" for up to 5 minutes at a time. (she is standing on her own, just uses us for balance. lol) She has a floor gym that she likes... but she gets MAD if she is laying down too long. She wants to be sitting or standing. What to Get for Son's Preschool Teacher Who's Husband Just Died.

My son's preschool teacher's husband died suddenly on Thursday. My heart is broken for her and her kids. What should I send to her for her loss? Flowers, a card or something else? Also, She will not be returning for the rest of the school year (2 more weeks), so should we still give her a teacher appreciation gift? Should we get the new teacher a teacher appreciation gift? She will only have taught my son for 2 weeks. His teacher has meant so much to our family, I want to do as much as possible. Thanks!
